Honestly, I was told to try the crab dip by a local while here on business. It’s fantastic. I heard other food is great, too, but every time I’ve been back I get the dip. Haha, it’s so good. The bread they make to dip it in is also fantastic. Never had to wait for a seat, even though I’m dining alone on lunch. It’s always packed, though so parking can be tight. Servers have been pleasant.

Amazing experience and food was great. I will say the manager was a bit rude and had some attitude because we wanted a bench seat and she didnt have enough servers and tried to place us in the bar. We had our 3 month old baby and needed a bench seat. After a few mins and her running around like crazy, we got a seat. Another server actually appoglized for how her manager acted. We drove over 3 hours to eat here and she couldnt have cared less. Other then that enjoyed the experience and the great food.

The food was fine and the building is pretty neat. They were really accommodating on splitting a meal, too.
The service seemed strained and rushed despite being mostly empty. Our waitress seemed like she needed to get us out of there; she probably needs training on reading cues from patrons like when plates should be cleared.
Maybe it was just a rushed day before we arrived and they were in the zone.

We loved this place. It was recommended by a local and since we are moving here this place is forever on our list of go to places. All our food was great. Our waitress was nice and it was wonderful seeing a historic site repurposed into something everyone can still enjoy.

Nice family restaurant with a historic flair. It’s great to see a vintage train depot repurposed like this. The food was wholesome and good, and the waitress, though busy, was very accommodating and pleasant.

My wife and I were on a business trip and stopped in Bedford Virginia to meet Gary Howard and his staff at Benefit Solutions Insurance Agency. After our meeting, my wife Carol, asked Gary where was a Great place to have dinner. “Olde Liberty Station” was Gary’s quick and passionate reply. He then began to share some reasons why we would enjoy the experience.
He was so correct. The food was delicious; prepared perfectly and with good portions. I had an Oriental Salmon Salad and my wife had a Grilled Chicken Salad. Both were as good as we have tasted!
The atmosphere was especially awesome–a renovated “Liberty Train Station” that once provided a needed service to the Bedford community and surrounding counties. The Historical ambiance was delightful.
The service was also extraordinary friendly and efficient. Our waitress, LeAnne, was excellent and took care of us with grace and pride, as if we were Royalty.
If you are traveling in the Southwest Virginia area, my wife Carol and I would highly recommend routing dinner plans through Bedford for a great dinning experience at the Olde Liberty Station.
Thank You Gary Howard!

I am thankful for the local, family initiative to preserve liberty station. The restaurant reserved a room for 27 of us to enjoy a meal together. The room was private with a dedicated server. Young and old alike enjoyed the food, especially the chicken fried steak, Ruben sandwich, fried green tomato appetizers, hearty burgers and the fan favorite fried catfish dinner (tender fish fried in a lighter, salty crust that balanced the fish quite well). This family has worked through adversity to preserve a piece of history for which I am grateful. Next time I plan to hit the bar!

An experience, and a great one. Everyone was super friendly, despite being crowded for the holidays. Attentive, without being redundant. Fantastic food. The smiles didn’t seem to be fake either. Really enjoyed it! And I’ll definitely return. I ordered the stroganoff tortellini, and it was top notch amazing. Even the salads that come with the meal, have been prepared with fresh and bright ingredients. Highly impressed.
