This is the second time we have order take out from South Kitchen and the food has been horrible.
First time my wife and I ordered steak and eggs, my wife order her steak medium and her eggs over easy. The steak was well done, without any juices and had no flavor and the eggs were over cook. My steak was over cooked my steak was medium well without any juice and no flavor. (Salt and Pepper)
And tonight’s take out (see pictures). My wife for chicken tenders with seasoned fries. The chicken tenders were cooked in old dirty oil.
My son’s shrimp and grits, we can’t see any of the grits it all sauce.
This place has gone down hill.

We had a great time here. We took over the patio. I had the Nashville hot chicken and the buns were waffles. Im not sure if it comes like that, but that’s how I got it. It was delicious. My only complaint was there was not a lot of chicken for the price. Maybe a third of a chicken breast. Looking forward to going back.

We had an amazing experience at South kitchen in Nocatee! The food was absolutely delicious — you can truly taste that everything is made from scratch.
James, the manager, was so welcoming, hilarious and attentive, making sure everything was perfect for us. Miranda, our waitress, was wonderful — friendly, kind, and provided such great service from start to finish. They both made us feel genuinely appreciated as guests.
We will definitely be back. Highly recommend

I recently dined at South Kitchen & Spirits and would describe the experience as just okay. The mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent — definitely the highlight of the meal. My pomegranate margarita was decent, but nothing memorable.
Unfortunately, the fried Atlantic cod sandwich was disappointing. The outside was hot, but the fish inside was cold, which made it clear it wasn’t cooked properly. That really took away from the overall experience.
Would I return? Probably only if there weren’t other options available.

Excellent experience! Our softball team had a bonding brunch and South Kitchen handled our very large party perfectly. Food was amazing, service was incredible. Large variety of brunch and lunch meals were ordered and everyone had high praises. Chicken tenders were phenomenal, and anyone who got the fried green tomatoes said it was the best they’ve ever had. Bourbon biscuit and jam is a must try. The steak that comes with the steak and eggs is huge! Big enough to share for sure. Can’t wait to be back to try more dishes! Easy 5 stars.

My wife and I stopped by for their happy hour, but we noticed they had changed their happy hour food menu without updating it on their website. Since the happy hour options weren’t what we expected, we decided to order from the regular menu. We tried the cheesesteak and fish and grits. The cheesesteak was lacking in meat, and the overall experience didn’t quite meet our expectations. Enjoyed my cider though.

We rolled in with a party of 12, which is basically a small army when it comes to food orders, special requests, and the dreaded check-splitting dilemma . But our waitress? Absolute legend. She handled everything with the precision of a NASA engineer and the patience of a kindergarten teacher on a field trip .
We sat on the patio, which was a solid choice—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for people-watching (or pretending to listen to your friends while secretly eavesdropping on the table next to you ). I ordered the blackened chicken Caesar salad with shrimp because I believe in living my best life ♂️. The portion was generous, the shrimp were cooked perfectly , and the Caesar dressing had its own unique twist—kind of like a jazz solo, but for your taste buds . My friend got the salmon salad and gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up , which is the international sign for “this is delicious.”
And let’s talk about the sweet tea. If you’re in the South, you know tea is basically a religion , and South Kitchen and Spirits delivers. It was exactly what you want—cold, refreshing, and the kind of drink that makes you question if you should just keep refilling it indefinitely .

First time eating here. Number one best server ever Gidget. She was Johnny on the spot and sweet. Chicken and waffles are great. The waffle was like a donut. Chicken was chicken breast no bones melt in your mouth . Greens had pork in the greens so they happily replaced it with Mac and cheese. The fries were not salty just right. Come here ask for a Gidget to eat ,drink and be happy.. do not forget your take out box

Definitely want to try this place again. Had the fried green tomatoes with pimento. Ordered the Cuban sandwich. Great meat to bread ratio and tons of flavor. We had our rescue greyhound with us and the waitress brought out some water for her.
