Reviews
The Food:
– Chips & Green Salsa (5/5): These were complimentary and had a delicious spicy flavor.
– Queso Flameado (3/5): Bit underwhelming. The cheese consistency was much thicker than we expected. But tortillas that came with it were great.
– Enchiladas El Vegan & Chile Relleno De Calabacitas (4/5): both decent choices with good flavors
The service was warm, the atmosphere inviting, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared.
We ordered the surf & turf platter, which arrived sizzling and full of flavor — a generous mix of lobster, steak, shrimp, chicken, and vegetables. The chicken tacos were incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned.
For dessert, the tres leches cake was soft, creamy, and beautifully done, and the churros with chocolate were a perfect finish.
The ambiance — from the table setting to the handcrafted drinks — made the meal feel even more special.
A place worth returning to again and again.
The manager was also so kind and welcoming. He took the time to get to know my son and even appreciated the pottery he brought in, which meant so much to us. It’s those thoughtful, personal touches that keep us coming back.
We always love the food and the warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!
The grill for two was much larger than we expected and definitely enough as a standalone order. There was a lot of variety of meats, my particular favourite was the sausage and ribs. The dipping sauces were great too. I asked the server for a side of mole and he kindly obliged, and tbh I would recommend everyone to do so. The mole goes fantastically with the meats.
I would love to come again and try more from the menu.
For a little more background, my wife and a friend had visited Luna Mexican Kitchen at The Pruneyard for lunch. She called and asked whether I wanted something for takeout. I took a quick peek at their online menu and zeroed in on the Enchiladas Suizas meal. It was delicious, and I became a quick fan.
So, when my wife asked later on if I’d like to have dinner at Luna, my answer was a quick “yes.” As I understand it, Luna is farm-to-table Mexican food.
My wife had the Chicken Breast Parrilladas (Grill/Fajitas). My son had the Mole Poblano Enchiladas. I had the Enchiladas Suizas. The meals were delicious all around. Oh, and they make a very nice Margarita. We finished off with a tasty Chocoflan dessert.
All the above, plus excellent service, a pleasant atmosphere, and easy parking. I recommend you try Luna Mexican Kitchen. I think you’ll be glad you did.
Im sure the service is good but the hostess out us in a caorner that usually servers forget. And that’s what actually happened. It took them a lil bit time to get our orders and forgot our drinks.
We had a lil problem with our food but was taken cared of by the supervisor.
I would still go here and recommend to others.
Since this is located in Pruneyard, parking is quite a challenge.
Overall, still worth to try. One of the good food and place in the bay area.
