Went to Applebee’s for the first time in 10 years. My wife and I vowed to never walk into one again after many visits with mediocre food, service, and ridiculous prices. We went against our better judge because our 6yr old son won a $10 gift card and was so excited to use his prize. He had never been and enjoyed it. Our waitress was wonderful, no complaints. The food tasted OK at best. I ordered a signiture skillet, (burban chicken and shimp) thinking I would try something I normally wouldn’t order….terrible choice. The picture looked really good although it was a little pricey for chicken and one side. (17.99) What I got compared to the advertisement…pic below. A piece of chicken that was less than a half inch thick and 4 bites big, 4 very small shrimp, and a small blob of bland mash potatoes. My son’s $7 kids meal had more on the plate. The waitress very nicely recommended I should talk to the manager, when the manager arrived she rolled her eyes at me and in not so many words told me sorry about your luck and walked a way. The wife and I renewed our vow to never walk in there again and we won’t. Don’t waste your money you can get a better meal at any Steakhouse on Stringtown Road for Less!

We stopped in after seeing someone post about a new appetizer. So we stopped into the Stringtown Rd. location. The food was all delicious (was pleasantly surprised) our server was great and personable. The restaurant seemed short staffed but was able to get food out in a reasonable time frame. We will definitely come back.

The bartenders where excellent. I ordered the shrimp fajita bowl and asked specifically if there was pork in it. I was told no. Half way thru I noticed crunchy pork in my entree, and stopped eating immediately. I brought it to the bartenders attention and they were great about it. They sent “management” to address me. Tha front manager was very dismissive and type rude. She dismissed my concern about consuming unwanted pork as a grill contamination and literally waver her hand to dismiss it as no big deal. She didn’t offer an apology or to comp the meal at all. She was clearly not a customer service expert and it showed. However, the back manager came out and was very apologetic and concerned, and I appreciated it. When you don’t eat pork it’s a huge concern when it’s in a meal and you don’t know it. Beware.

Food was just OK . Marcos our server was fantastic. To be fair we don’t eat out much & we can cook ourselves pretty good. I had a chicken salad that was lettuce chicken & dressing & that’s it presentation was sloppy. My wife had French onion soup, it had almost no onions & no taste, but as I said our server was fantastic & made it a great time despite the food.

I called Friday to ask about making reservations for Saturday for dinner. Manager told me come in a hour before the time on Saturday, I got there an hour before like I was told and gave my name which lady wrote wrong to begin with,was told they could do it as a new server would be coming on. I sat at the bar waiting to be told they were not going to do it that I would have to wait thirty minutes or longer as one waiter had to go on break. Ok cool then I ask to speak to a manger. When I was explaining to the manger what I was told the day before she pretty much was rude and yell we are a first come first serve. I get that but I was told twice it would be possible to do at five. Left and went someplace else. If your a manager don’t yell at the customer. There lost on a server getting a good tip and a big order for the company!

We have had two terrible experiences at this Applebees. The first time we had incredibly slow service. We got drinks from the bar and our friend that was with us had to wait almost 30 minutes for hers. We tried to give it a second chance tonight. We walked in and saw many dirty tables. There was no hostess at the hostess stand. One of the male waiters walked by us twice and never acknowledged us. We stood there for over 10 minutes and not one employee would even look at us so we walked out.

I was dining in this evening at your grove city location with some friends, our food came out and the appetizers were cold , so you could tell they had been sitting for a few before they were brought to my table. I didn’t mention that to the server though I figured he was busy and just got side tracked. But not even halfway through my meal he came up asking if we needed boxes as he could tell we were still eating , seemed to be in a very rushing manner like he was rushing us out of the restaurant we then told him he could go ahead and bring us boxes because as I said we felt very uncomfortable after that and rushed. We had also asked for refills for our drink and his response was you want them “to go” just seemed very pushy to me. All of the serves in the restaurant walked around very rude attitude and just like they were miserable. Also during my dine in I had walked up to ask the bartender if they could make a drink that I like told her the name of the drink and she was very rude telling me to “WAIT A MINUTE SHE HAD AN ORDER IN HER HEAD AND NEEDED TO RING IT IN BEFORE SHE COULD HELP ME” she then proceeded to say what did you want very rudely and then I told her the drink I was wanting to see if she could make and she said “I don’t even know what that is google whats in it and I might be able to make it” which I understood her not knowing what went in the drink I wanted that’s not the part that upset me it was how she was speaking to me and just coming over very rude. So tonight was just a very unpleasant experience all together & it felt like all staff didn’t want to be there or deal with the customers so made it very uncomfortable. Our bill was almost 100$ and to be treated like we were a bother made it very unpleasant for us to ever want to come back and spend our money there!

Uggggg I hate doing this. Our waitress was amazing! They were so short staffed and she did everything she could for us. This is NOT her fault. My steak was so dry, I couldn’t chew it. I asked for medium rare and I most definitely got well done. She compensated by giving me a free mini cinnabon. She was amazing! The chefs that night, not so much
