Food was cheap. There was a haze from the burning oil in the dining area. Lunch service on a Monday was slow and sloppy. The dining room was probably 3/4 full and the staff seemed overwhelmed. After waiting 40 minutes for our meal and asking if our food had been started, waiter told us to “calm down.” It was another 20 minutes before our food was brought to us. Food was poor quality. Gorden Ramsey would have shut it down. Low point in an otherwise excellent trip to Kalona.
