Jay, our host was amazing! Very personable, funny and smart, we enjoyed chatting with him and he made us feel very welcomed!! Our food was great, although the lettuce from the ceaser salad was red in some places. Aside from that we got the combo sampler where everything was hot, the sirloin steak, ordered medium rare, came out rare, but was an easy fix and replaced, and the 4 Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken was perfect! Our service was fast and our waitress was courteous and kept drinks filled. Our 5 stars is solely based from Jays awesome service!!! He is great!! Aside from Jays service we would give a 4.

The atmosphere and cleanliness was good. The waiter was friendly and on top of things. The food was a big disappointment. The cheese sticks were cold in the middle, the chicken tasted undercooked, and the taste of the food was not well. The only thing that was really good was the spinach dip. Four of us ordered meals and appetizers and none of us ate our meals. It was my daughter’s birthday and it was very disappointing. I will not be back. It use to be really good, I’ve always loved Applebees ,maybe it was this particular location.

Honestly wasn’t a bad experience. The food wasn’t that great, but it’s cheap. We waited an hour for our main food. Our server let us know there was a mishap in the back and that he would bring our food right out. Since it took so long, he asked the manager for a discount but the manager refused. Our server offered to pay half out of his own pocket. I think that this is horrible practice for management and they should be embarrassed their server was going to take their own tip money to pay half our bill because some manager wouldn’t comp it (which we did not ask for).

The food was okay. I split the grilled cheese cheeseburger and fries but it also came with tomato soup ( I guess to dunk your sandwich in but I didn’t care for the soup) with my wife so I had half of her grilled chicken w/onions and mashed potatoes. The mozzarella sticks were OK not great also. Our waitress was really nice, but seemed overwhelmed and at times seemed agitated.

Our waiter was extremely kind, but definitely overworked. Took over 30 minutes just to put our food order in and another 45 minutes of waiting to receive our appetizers, and another 20 minutes for our actual food to come out. Burger was extremely well done and rubbery, and the Mac and cheese was overdone and tasted like water. Holiday cranberry margarita was great. Overall, seems understaffed and the wait was not worth the poor food quality. I didn’t even eat half of it. I won’t be returning.

Friendly warning to avoid Applebee’s on Leestown Rd.! I should have left when I saw the 86 score from the health department but I wanted their famous Oriental chicken salad. The lettuce on my salad AND my mother-in-law’s salad was brown (see photos). Yuck! The manager remade the salad but didn’t offer us any discounts. The server was extremely rude about the whole thing which was completely unacceptable since I was extra kind about it. Then the rude server came to me and said the manager took the salad off the bill but, in fact, that was a total lie. He added a third salad to the bill and then removed one but we still paid for two.
I wouldn’t have written this publicly but it is the second really bad experience I’ve had at this same Applebee’s restaurant in a month. (You would think I would have learned my lesson!) A couple of weeks ago I waited forever for my well done burger and it came out half raw. They pulled the same trick that time by telling me it was taken off the bill but really only taking off the replacement food off.

So visiting since I stopped going because the past times food was awful. I stand corrected the food is still awful and management needs some training. The all you can eat special has the Riblets that are uneatable they were so tough they should be taken off the menu. Boneless wings had so much sauce I could drink it and then the Oriental salad is basically coleslaw with chicken. When I mentioned this to the manager he went to make more ribs that were as chewy as the first and boneless wings that had more sauce than the first ones that came out. Funny when I mentioned the salad the manager did not disagree. People save your money don’t go here. Oh and being that no one was really in the restaurant the food should have been better.

I have always been a fan of Applebees. But I can see why so many stores have closed. I feel like the employees just don’t care. That is very sad. We place a lot of togo orders that we drive 12.6 miles round trip to pick up. Occassionally we dine in. However, every single pick-up order we have made has been wrong. And it’s so disappointing to get home and realize what you have been craving for hours is just a memory. We order extra sauce and it is never in there. I order the Nachos everysingle time (my fav), I order it with sour cream and gauc. NOT ONCE have we gotten our order right. What topped this off, and why I am leaving this review is because my daughter & husband went to AB on Leestown Rd (where we always go – well have no choice but to go), to dine in for her BD. Before they were done, she placed and order to go for me the usual Nachos no Jalapenos, but always extra sour cream and guac. I thought for sure it would be right since she was at the restaurant. NOPE! Seriously. You would think we would start checking our order before we left, but why should we, yeah I glance in the bag to make sure there are two or three orders in there, but I don’t open them up to make sure all the items are there. Is it too much to ask the people we are paying and tipping to check for the accuracy of their own restaurant food. Isn’t that part of the process in preparing food? Does that now have to be our job as patrons too? What will it take to actually get an order right???

Server was great. Drinks were good but the kitchen was super slow and none of our food came out at the same time. Half our table was done eating before the other half even got theirs.
