Reviews
This was one of my favorite places to eat growing up, and I used to rave about Bambinelli’s to my friends and family all the time. In fact, I even asked them to cater a wedding rehearsal in 2023, but that’s where I really began to see how this place was truly managed. After stringing me along for MONTHS, Bambinelli’s finally notified me that they wouldn’t be able to deliver the food, which had been promised to me initially. This made trying to use them to cater the event so difficult and unreasonable that I had to go with someone else at the last second, leaving me in a horrible bind. So between that, and the declining food quality since Bonnie’s passing, I stopped doing business with them and left an honest review about their actions and declining food quality.
Well nostalgia finally got to me, so I finally went back to Bambinelli’s in late 2024 and the food was actually very good. I was elated that it seemed things had finally turned around and I promptly left them a new 5 star review commending them for a job well done. Unfortunately, the good times didn’t endure and the last time I ate here it was godawful. The spaghetti was gummy and covered in whole stewed tomatoes that hadn’t been cooked down long enough, the bread was dry and hard as a rock, they failed to put any pepperoni on my pepperoni and bacon pizza that I ordered to go, and to top it off they burned the pizza as well!
Whoever responds to their reviews can say what they please about the past, but it doesn’t change the fact that everything I’ve ever said about my last experience at Bambinelli’s is 100% true. Pictures don’t lie nor does the fact the place was empty on the Friday I went in there…..
Nostalgia won’t win again and I definitely will not be back!
We had a lovely, relaxed dinner at Bambinelli’s. The restaurant has a genuinely warm and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We visited on a weekday evening, so it wasn’t crowded, and the staff was very welcoming and attentive from the start.
The Food
Portion Sizes:Come hungry! The serving sizes are incredibly generous. We ordered the Alfredo, and it was huge—honestly, one dish is easily enough for two people to share.
Flavor:The food is definitely comfort food—very rich and cheesy. While the standard dishes were decent, we found the blackened options to be the real winner. The spice from the blackened seasoning really helped balance out the richness of the sauce.
A Small Suggestion
While the cheese factor is high (which is great!), I do wish there were more vegetable options incorporated into the pasta dishes. Having the option to add broccoli or something similar to cut through the heavy cheese and carbs would make the meal perfect.
Overall
Great value for the price and a nice spot for a comforting meal. Just be prepared to take leftovers home!
The only negative comment is that silverware wasn’t included. After looking on the Doordash app, they are listed under a separate cutlery tab we didn’t see since we didn’t scroll that far.
