We frequent Montana’s as it is close to our house and also for the great ambience and quality food served. The food portions are generous and fresh.
Burgers, Ribs, Pulled Pork are staple meat choices. There are other vegetarian options as well. Fajita, Mushroom skillet, ribs, steaks all items are freshly made and portions are generous.
There is alway a draught beer special which is very reasonably priced. We order Wings, Fried Pickes along with beer.
The ambience is like a old school western cook house (though artificially made but still has good nostalgic feel). The seating is cozy and does not feel we are sitting in the way of people walking etc.
For birthdays and occassions the servers do a clapping in celebration.
Definitely recommend the restaurant for families and the bar area is great if one wants a drink and some appetizer.

Great service. Our Shrimp app was so good. My daughters go to. We enjoyed the lunch chicken club wrap and always get the yummy soup. Great for a cold Friday in Waterloo 🙂

Had a good meal at Montana BBQ & Bar, got Barbecue Pork Back Ribs with Texas BBQ sauce, come with my choice of Coleslaw and Fries. It come with a nice corn biscuits. Did order also Smoked Hot Brisket Beef Sandwich that comes with small Caesar Salad. All taste good but wish the pork ribs could be more juicy. The place has good ambiance and good service. Will come and try another menu again. Thank you.

We received excellent service even though we arrived 45 minutes before close. The food was prepared quickly and was served hot and fresh, large portions (even the happy hour nachos) the spinach dip with nachos and pitas were delicious (the pitas were perfect) the fish was hot and the batter was crispy and the fries were very hot as well. Our server was quite attentive and always brought refills. My wife couldn’t decide if she wanted the beef or pulled pork nachos. Our server recommended the pulled pork and we were not disappointed. We didn’t even need the salsa and sour cream because the pulled pork was juicy and full of flavor and there was plenty of cheese layered with the chips. The chips were also great because they were not salty. We’ve been to this location.any times over the years, but this was definitely one of the better visits.

Between being greeted at the door by the friendliest gentleman and our phenomenal server Rai, my birthday dinner was absolutely top notch. Our server was on point the entire meal and unbelievably friendly and high spirited. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere when we were there was just how we wanted to spend our evening. 10/10 would come here again/recommend to anyone!!
Update: Just had another visit and we had Sarah as our server. She was incredibly upbeat and tentative and made our lunch incredible. She was on the ball with our drinks and making sure everything was top notch. 10/10 would recommend this location, the staff and the food are amazing!

We went for dinner at Montana on the boardwalk. The atmosphere is cozy, and the booth seating is comfortable and nicely private. Bryn was our server that evening, and he was exceptionally friendly. He explained the menu highlights to us and gave us recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious. Good beer and wine. We had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable evening.
