It’s Valentine night we didn’t have reservations but were able to get in at a timely manor. The young man at hostess stand was so patient and calm with all the crabby people coming at him. Once he sat us he apologized several times and thanked us for being understanding.

We recently visited Red Lobster, and even though the restaurant was a bit understaffed, the team truly did their best to provide good service. You could tell they were working hard to keep things running smoothly, and their patience and effort didn’t go unnoticed.
Our food came out fresh and tasted great, and the hospitality overall made the experience enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend being patient if you go during a busy time — the staff is doing their best, and the quality of the meal makes it worth it.

My husband and I came to Red Lobster for a date night and they were slammed. The staff did an incredible job getting customers seated and taken care of promptly. Our waitress Kaitlyn V was phenomenal. She made sure our drinks were always full and that we always had a fresh basket of biscuits. She was very attentive to not only our table but all of the tables in her section. We had a longer wait due to coming in a busy holiday evening! We will know for next time to schedule a reservation.

The person who seemed to be the manager seemed very unfriendly and annoyed to be there dealing with customers. The waitress we had, initials KG, did a fantastic job with our large group and got all the orders right, kept drinks filled and was very friendly and helpful the whole time. The seating arrangement was less than ideal with our group size, especially given that we had a reservation. We were half in a booth and half at a table, which made it very difficult for everyone to sit comfortably and for the weight staff to bring our food out safely. The waitress kept having to try to figure out a way to get hot plates to the very inner people in the booth when she couldn’t reach them, but didn’t want them to use their hands and burn themselves. The food was good, but it came out in waves so my husband was half done when I got my plate.

Dont waste your time! I took my wife here Saturday 2/7/26 after I got off the road to celebrate her birthday where she asked to go and was excited to get crab legs and steak. Should have know the min we got to the hostess desk when the young lady and young man was arguing about where to seat us after requesting a booth in an almost empty red lobster at 5:21 pm. Should have known to leave right then but as I stated it was my wife’s Birthday meal it was supposed to be. We were seated at the booth next to Justice ladies bar. After a few mins Justice came to our table and was polite and took our orders . Did I mention it was my Birthday ? Well yes I did and I told Justice the bartender and server that told me she had been working there for such a long time all of a whole year and that she never heard or oysters on the half shell. Another good sign to leave. Well after a few mins she returned apologizing for taking so long to get our Mountain Dew and tea that she had to make all by herself. Keep in mind at this point there was nobody seated at the bar . A couple behind us just was seated an so was a few other family’s in the next room with other servers. 40 mins passed and we received our salads and when Justice was finished with her conversation with her helper we ate out salads and chewed the ice in our two one and only drinks that came 40 mins before our main course or appetizer that was given to another table and half eaten . A little while later Justice told us she was so sorry yet again but our food had been given to another table and all those other tables were getting up to leave and all done. At this point my wife and I had had enough and decided to figure out somewhere else to go and salvage her birthday meal. So I went to the hostess with a 20 spot and paid for our 2 side salads and Mountain Dew and tea and I’m sure there was enough for a tip and even she was like why are yall still doing here and again I too was amazed to still waited that long but it was supposed to be my wife’s Birthday celebration crab leg mealand night out without our kids . Now before you go and say oh this guy is being over dramatic and cheap we’ll no what we ordered was over 150 and exactly what my wife wanted and there was also going to be a 50 dollar tip had it been worth the time for prolly a total of 200 which is normal. We will never go back and hope that this very long read helps another Birthday celebrators out there . We ended up going to another restaurante to get my wife her filet mignon steak but she did not get her crab legs like she wanted and even though she held a smile I know her birthday was ruined . If I could give this Red Lobster restaurante in Alton Illinois a negative star I would. The place is terrible the servers are terrible and I’m sure the food is terrible but atleast we waited over an hour to see what it was like so we left at 6:35 with a side salad and a soda. What a joke of a place and Poorest hospitality ever!
