Petu a short walk from Schofield train station. The menu is HUGE, with the usual familiar veg and non-veg options, as well
As a vast number of styles/sauces/flavours I haven’t tried yet (YET LOL.)
Service was fast, friendly and the young lady was happy to answer questions about yhe menu and guided me to a choice I hadn’t considered.
I had pani puri (best tamarind water around) which could have benefited from a little red onion but otherwise fit the bill. Hubby has a samosa, with mint sauce and chutney. We shared Mushrooms-65…wow! Mushrooms deepfried in a spicy batter then combined with lightly sautéed red onion and capsicum, the whole coated in the 65 sauce. Sweet, spicy, hit on all the taste buds!
I got dal makhani and aloo jeera to go with- everything was quickly prepared and definitely a good workday lunch option.
I’ll have to come with a group to try many things!

We ordered tandoori chicken through Uber and it was raw inside. Absolutely disappointing with how they tried to brush it off without any sort of compensation when we even came to the restaurant with a complaint and evidence. Never ordering nor coming back again. Horrible

Did a pickup order one day – very slow service..waited for almost an hour
Ordered through uber- ordered buy one get one awadhi chicken biryani… Pathetic.. 1 small chicken piece per box of rice.chilli parotta was good.. veg Hakka noodles that we ordered was not delivered but money refunded.my son was waiting for nearly an hour for the noodles.. got very upset to see it was not part of the delivery.
Never petu again for us.

I enjoyed the food — everything we ordered tasted good and was well-prepared. However a few items listed on the menu weren’t available which was a bit disappointing. Overall still a good experience but I hope the full menu is available next time.

Extremely disappointing experience. The lady at the front was very unprofessional and the overall management was chaotic. The food service made no sense — curry was served first without naan, while the chaat we ordered arrived last.
The hygiene was also unacceptable. We ordered buttermilk and it came with a hair in it. On top of that, we ordered two lassis but only one arrived, and it took another 10 minutes just to get the second one. When we pointed this out, the staff member started crying and never returned to our table.
We were then left waiting just to pay the bill. In the end, I had to call someone from the kitchen window to take the payment. As customers, we should not have to chase staff just to pay our bill.
Very poor service, poor management, and a very frustrating dining experience. Definitely not recommended.

I ordered the butter chicken and the chicken was raw and poorly cooked. It was inedible and had to be thrown in the bin. Very disappointing and unacceptable.

Nice atmosphere.
The food : they have a very good variety of veg and non veg food.The chicken biryani was well presented and so fresh. It was enough for two (if you eat in average quantity )
The restaurant: It was very clean and it had a good setup . The plates and cutlery was very clean but the water glasses are a-bit old
The staff were very friendly… and helpful . I asked for a non veg recommendation since the lady who served me was vegetarian she took the extra step to ask the chef and gave me the feedback. We went on a very warm day .. I requested for chilled water and immediately they gave chilled table water. So very good service.

We went for dinner after a long day at work, super hungry waiting to eat something good.
We went to Petu as it’s close to home, ordered Veg Machow soup, Pav Bhaji and Veg Chowmein noodles.
Pav bhaji came in with 5 mins after ordering, we asked soup was meant to be served first. Anyways we waited for next 10mins, no sign of soup, so we started of with Pav bhaji, couldn’t finish a single Pav as the bhaji was off. Later we had Veg Manchow soup which was supposed to be with lots of veggies as per the menu. We could not find a single piece of vegetable in the soup. It was too salty and super spicy. I’ve visited this restaurant 4–5 times before and always enjoyed the food — it’s delicious and reasonably priced. However, today’s experience was very disappointing.
I came with my girlfriend and sat at a table that was dirty, so I asked a waitress (the one in the photo, who was eating at the time) to clean it. Instead of wiping the table, she told us to move to another one. We didn’t argue and moved, but the new table was also dirty. When I called her again, she asked her colleague to come instead — and she continued eating right there!
This kind of attitude shows a complete lack of customer service. I’m not complaining about the food, because it’s always been good, but this waitress’s behavior was unacceptable. Very disappointed — won’t be coming back again.

The biryani was delicious, but the customer service was even better! Friendly, attentive and made the whole experience feel special. Highly recommend.
