People complain about waiting but this restaurant is very informative I called to check on a friend’s reservation the automated part of the phone call answered many questions (mainly that even if you have a reservation there might still be a wait) before speaking to a host who answered all my questions mainly parking gratuity and separate checks… they do have parking in the back looks very small on google maps & she said it’s currently full they have street parking(have to pay) I was able to find free street parking down a one way street
Gratuity is included for larger parties 20% of the total bill
They do separate checks but she couldn’t really give me an answer as to how many (they did separate checks for everyone in this party)
All guests must be present prior to seating (they let us be seated prior I think they was being nice because it was cold & most of the woman were wearing dresses
Seating is only 90 minutes
Jennifer was our host loved her she was very informative or the menu for us , friendly, and attentive took our drink orders starting with who was ready then after drink did food orders again by who was ready first repeated everyone order to make sure she had it correctly then as food came out she was double checking to make sure everyone had what they order then went back around repeating everyone order to make sure they had it / it was correct bright waters silver napkins didn’t have to ask for nothing
I had pancake flight seasoned potatoes & chicken sausage was great no issues

It is a little crowded and the space is tight but the food is soooo amazing! I will be going back. The French toast flight is what I got. And the French toast was so good it really didn’t even need syrup but of course I used it anyways. The parking was not free for those of you wondering Overall I enjoyed eating my birthday breakfast here. It was affordable and worth every penny. Shout out to my waitress although I can’t remember her name she was awesome, she sung me happy birthday and brought me a slice of cheesecake that was also delicious.

Omg! Where do I begin??? First, we were greeted with smiles when we walked in. Jennifer was our server and she was amazing. She was very attentive and very friendly. We had the trio French toast flight, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. Everything was delicious!!! Our food came out pretty quick too. We came to Chicago just to eat and that food definitely lived up to the TikTok hype. Please go by there if you can. You will not be disappointed!!!

First time coming here! I’d heard lots of good things from family and friends, and it definitely lived up to the hype. There’s free parking in the back (a bit tight), plus plenty of street parking nearby. I recommend making a reservation.
The food was delicious — big portions and everything was so good! We got the sweet potato tostada, the French toast flight, and a kids’ pancakes meal. So goooood!
Service was pretty quick, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back again!

Loved this place. Very busy and you’ll most likely have to wait but they’ve got it down like a well oiled machine. We had a party of 4 and had to wait about 10 minutes. We will absolutely be back. Food was great and our server and bussing staff were friendly and great. Worth the money.

This place is an absolute gem! I had family visit from out of town and we decided to come here due to IG hype and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered the french toast flight, pancake flight, two skillets, and I had a cookie butter latte. Every morsel was delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. Our server was amazing and very engaging. I will definitely be back!

Had an amazing brunch at Honeybear. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the dishes were beautifully prepared, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The pancakes were especially outstanding, soft, flavorful, and easily some of the best I’ve had. Great service and a perfect spot for a relaxing brunch. Highly recommend it.

Highly recommend reservations if you go on the weekend. Parking is very scarce in the area. There’s paid street parking and residential parking. The place is decorated very cute. It’s a nice space but definitely is VERY busy, but the service did not lack. Kate was our waitress and she was great. I had the catfish and grits. I’m not a creamy grits type of person but the cheese in the grits made the grits amazing. I would have preferred if my catfish was on the side but I know for next time. The catfish and grits were a great combo. They give you more than enough food. I thought I was hungry until I wasn’t able to finish my food. My friend and I also got the cookie banana French toast to share. The French toast had great flavor but I wish the toppings were throughout the French toast and just not on top.

I’ve been to Honeybear three times now and try to visit every time I’m in the city. The vibes and decorations are perfect and I love how all out they decorate for holidays. I’ve been there around Easter and Halloween and it’s always so extra. The staff are usually so nice! And the food – amazing!! I’ve tried something new each time and it’s always so good. And the portions are huge! I also love that kids entrees are free with an adult entree purchase. My kids also enjoy the free little playdoh they get with their meals. And you can’t forget the complimentary cheesecake bites as well. I absolutely recommend checking out Honeybear Cafe and also absolutely recommend making a reservation! This place always has a line, but the wait is worth it.

Got the Valentine special Tiramisu french toast – the best I’ve had in my life! The challa bread was amazing, the toppings weren’t too sweet and everything was just great!
Everyone we interacted with from the host , server and everyone in between was so sweet and kind. Highly recommend!
