1 month update: Upgraded from 4 to 5 stars due to owner’s efforts to make things right. I also had better service this time from Stormy, not to mentioned the three fellow hosts/hostesses who were friendly and upbeat. She was faster and more attentive than the previous waitress was. All the food I ordered was correct. There was nice flavor in the soup and appetizer. I also enjoyed my mock tail – I approve of the marshmallow combined with the blue liquid. It appears this establishment overall does care about the community and making sure customers are treated well!

Older: Alriiight food was Great, atmosphere decent and service not so much. I ordered two tacos that tasted very well. They were rather small (see photo), but satisfying. The mocktail I asked for was not the one I received which I could tell by the taste and then the name of the drink on the bill. We were not asked how our food or drink were. We felt rushed out and received our bill before being asked if we wanted anything else such as dessert. ‍♂️

In town from Las Vegas, NV visiting family, they suggested we dine at Nectar Urban Cantina. After reviewing the menu, I was optimistic, but ultimately, this spot lands squarely in the middle of the pack.

Let’s start with the service, which was largely a bright spot. We were quoted a 15-minute wait and were seated in under five, which was excellent. Our servers greeted us promptly and were attentive throughout the meal. The only reason I deducted a star was that I had to ask for a refill, which felt like a small but noticeable miss.

As for the food, coming from Las Vegas it almost feels unfair to judge, but average is the most accurate description. The Tijuana Chicken taco was surprisingly bland, lacking the depth of flavor one would expect. The spicy birria tacos were better, but still nothing memorable. The rest of the table had similar experiences: the dishes weren’t bad, just uninspired, clearly designed to appeal to the median palate rather than stand out. Everything was fine, just not great.

We sat inside, and while the décor was stylish and created a relaxed, comfortable vibe, the seating was a letdown. The metal chairs are uncomfortable and feel more suited for a 12-year-old than an adult enjoying a sit-down meal.

Overall, Nectar Urban Cantina isn’t a bad choice, but it doesn’t quite live up to its potential. With more attention to bold flavors and a bit more comfort in the dining area, it could rise above being simply “okay.”

Busy Saturday night with no reservations but no problem. The wait wasn’t long.
Ordered the Guacamole and chips with a Birria Taco and some fried plantains. It was so good! Everything made so fresh and fantastic! Don’t sleep on this place. It’s a keeper!

Super friendly staff and great food. Came here for brunch on a whim and loved it. Pretty large menu with lots of creative options. Unique coffee options too. Our waitress, Alyssa, was so friendly and incredibly helpful.

Little tip: At first we didnt realize that its separated as a cafe and restaurant. The double doors are for the restaurant entrance for dine in, single door for the cafe if you want something quick.

Been a longtime fan of nectar, literal years at this point. You must indulge in a prickly pear margarita pitcher and the tacos can’t be beat. Great vibes all around! No other place for a little Saturday day drink

Adorable laid back spot super convenient to my hotel by the airport. So glad I decided to stop in. I sampled a few things because literally everything looked delicious! Fish taco blackened was perfectly cooked, you don’t see Brussels sprout tacos on a lot of menus and it did not disappoint! Definitely had a little kick. The soup was a perfect complement as it was a beautiful fall afternoon. I could drink the broth by the mug full. Definitely will make this a go to on my work trips

We tell all our friends that Nectar Urban Cantina is the perfect spot for tacos, margaritas, and now—a full-service breakfast! We stopped by on Mother’s Day morning and were blown away.

My husband and I both had the breakfast burrito and absolutely loved it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated (I had to snap a few photos!). The kids enjoyed playing on the outdoor playground while we waited, which made the experience even better for our whole crew.

Everyone in our group left full and raving about how delicious it all was. Between the great food, welcoming vibe, and family-friendly setup, we can’t wait to go back!

I consider Nectar my go to in Donalson when I want a good meal that is vegetarian and delicious. The tacos are amazing, they have two that are vegetarian. And then of course the salads are just the best. They don’t skimp on size either. Oh, and don’t forget their coffee shop at the front. They actually have some great lattes and coffees. In the summer they have outdoor seating that cannot be beat.

Great spot for a cortado and a breakfast taco! The hash brown taco was just what I needed this morning…

So then I went back for dinner in the evening! The blackened fish taco was my favorite, but the birria also did not disappoint. The banana pudding taco was a perfect ending.
