While in Omaha going to see the kids and the new granddaughter, we stopped at Lamar’s donuts to get donuts for the family and they were wonderful. As always fresh all the different kinds that we wanted. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend going there if you want a good fresh donut.

LaMar’s Donuts in Omaha is hands down one of the best places to grab a fresh, delicious donut. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air, and the friendly staff makes you feel welcome.
The selection is fantastic—whether you’re craving a classic glazed donut, a rich chocolate long john, or their famous lemon-filled donut, there’s something for everyone. Each donut is light, fluffy, and packed with flavor without being overly sweet. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients!
The customer service is just as impressive as the donuts. The staff is always kind, efficient, and helpful, making the experience even better.
If you’re a donut fan, LaMar’s is a must-visit in Omaha. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I called about 2 weeks ago to place an order for a big donut. As the Dr. I work for likes donuts better then cake. This was for his 50th birthday. So when I called I wanted chocolate frosting and yellow sprinkles. I arrived to pick up the order as I told them id be there on January 21st at 5:30. When I arrived the kid didnt acknowledge me for like 10 minutes. Then when he did I said I have an order to pick up for a giant donut at 5:30 with yellow sprinkles. He couldn’t find it and then he ended up finding a big donut but with red white and blue sprinkles. Then he couldn’t find a box to put it in and wanted to cut it in half. I said no as I ordered it this way. Then as I drop the donut off for the party the frosting is chipping away and the donut is cracking like its been there for a few days. I order these very often and this was the worst experience.

I haven’t been to LeMar‘s in quite some time and wanted to try it again. Unfortunately my experience was well below my expectations. When I got there they were incredibly busy …around 10 people ahead of me in line at 9:30 on a Saturday. This is to be expected, of course it’s busy. But it’s how you handle high-volumes of customers that really sets you apart in customer service. Unfortunately it took a long time. The employees were almost lackadaisical in how quickly they were moving.
When we finally got to the counter, they didn’t have as much variety as I expected. They did have one of my favorite donuts, an old-fashioned. But I was disappointed with how sweet it was. I’ve had many other renditions and this is possibly one of the worst. It was so sickeningly sweet I couldn’t even eat the whole donut. Several other of their donuts had an off taste to me as well. As a self/dubbed donut connoisseur I was surprised again at just how sweet they were.
The interior of the location needs some TLC. If you look down on the ground especially near the bathroom or kitchen area there’s really dirty door jams, things that have lots of scuffs and stains on them so they appear dirty, even if they aren’t. They were not wiping down tables at all in the morning so everyone that came to sit down pretty much had to wipe off the last customers crumbs and icing streaks. It just didn’t make for a very good experience dining in.
If you’re looking for a great donut, try Hurts or Olsen.

There was a lot of seating available when we were there. There were coloring sheets and crayons available for kids which was nice. The young man working the counter was more interested in getting back to his girlfriend than he was in taking our order though. They were out of almost all of the donuts we wanted and the ones we did get weren’t very good- dry and flavorless. My husband really likes the donuts here but I’m not sure why.

I do not recommend this place, the donuts are over priced and not good, they are dry. I paid over 9 dollars for two bar donuts that I ended up throwing away about 3/4 s of each donuts. I will not return, you can get better donuts at Casey’s or even QT. This was at about 9am on a Wednesday, the selection was not good. I will not be back.

Coldest weekend of the year, I have two small children that want donuts… great, la mars has a drive-thru. Or so we thought. Due to the cold weather, they don’t want to have the drive thru window opening repeatedly. So instead of providing convenience for their customers, they want me to unpack two small children and walk through a 0 degree parking lot for over priced donuts. It only makes sense that they want their front door opening repeatedly from walk-ins… La Mars sucks, the donuts aren’t good, I could get a steak dinner for the price of a dozen. Go to sunrise donuts a block away and save your money.

This Lamar’s is a constant disappointment. Unless you are there by 6AM they never have any donuts in stock and they do not restock even though they are open until 8PM. Their constant excuse is they only have 1 baker and 1 decorator. They never clean or pickup in the lobby/dining area it is always messy and tables sticky. To top it all off they insult you with their bad donut selection by charging almost $6 for a specialty and $4 for a normal donut that is worth only about half that at best. Skip this place it is not worth it.

Used to be good. Stopped for Boston cream / Bismarck today. They used to be great big like a donut pot roast. Full of custard, fluffy. No longer. Dry not very much custard inside. Worst $5 donut I’ve had in a long long time. Time to find a new place.

The service was attentive and staff was kind, donuts were fine, but it was hard to look past the lack of cleanliness. The floor was incredibly sticky, seats of the booths dirty, where there was carpet it looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in quite awhile. Unfortunately this was very off putting and I’m not sure the quality (or high prices) of the donuts made up for it.
