Friendly atmosphere. Drinks were always refilled, kids enjoyed watched the fish swim in the large tank while we ate, lots of choices on the menu. When we were seated they took our drink order which saved time and we noticed everyone worked well together. We purchased a slice of key lime pie to go and it was good. My husband said the Rueben was really good , of course I didn’t get a picture

Generous portions. Swordfish was grilled PERFECTLY: juicy, excellent grill marks and warm till the end.
If Brian’s simply switches out the cool-white Kelvins Leds for warmer tones, this would really off set the whole dining area.
First visit and I’ll be back.

We ate dinner at Captain Brian’s last week. We met our friends there. I had the Ipswich Whole Bellied Fried Clams they came with potato wedges and cole slaw. Though my clams tasted good they were room temperature even though the potatoes were warm. My husband had the Fish and Chips again though tasty the fish was room temperature it also came with warm potato wedges and cole slaw. One of our friends got the Lobster Special which she said it was very good along with a side of mashed potatoes. Lastly her husband had the Char, which he said was between a white fish and a salmon and was delicious. The Char came with potato wedges and cole slaw.

Captain Brian’s Seafood Market is a true gem! This place is a fantastic discovery for the whole family. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal and exceptional service. Anabel made us feel right at home, and we loved it so much that we came back the very next day! Highly recommended!! One of Sarasota’s best!

This place was packed and it was our first time visiting, we were on vacation. We were told a 15 min wait for a table but it took about 30. Others were sat before us but, I think that was because employees were waiting on a table to better accommodate a wheelchair and walker. The server was very friendly and helpful with questions. It took so long to get our appetizers and the main orders that nothing came out hot. The food was warm enough to still eat but, just not as satisfying as it could have been if it were hot (hope that makes sense). Even still, the food was good. We had grouper bites, shrimp, and clams for appetizers. The bites & shrimp had a bam bam sauce that was bland but ok, they were fried so just coming out warm missed the mark. I had fried haddock with fries and rice pilaf – all was just kind of warm and bland. My dad had steamed veggies with his that weren’t fully steamed. For the price paid, the mark was definitely missed. Fried foods really need to be hot and crispy, ours was warm with the breading getting mushy and tasted like no one understood seasoning. Definitely a miss.

Great fish! We had lobster, red snapper grilled and fish and chips. All delicious . Also the fried calamari for appetizer were actually crunchy ad yummy. Highly recommended!

This place never disappoints! The food is always so fresh and delicious and the service is warm and friendly. It’s a perfect little hole in the wall type of restaurant with no frills, located in a small strip mall. The casual atmosphere is very welcoming and unpretentious. There is also a seafood market that is adjacent to the restaurant. We had a group of seven and were easily accommodated. Every one of us ordered something different and we all absolutely loved our selections. I had the Haddock and it was amazing. My husband had the Snapper and he said it was incredible. If you are looking for a place to eat like the locals, this is it!

Well, it’s pretty clear why this place got such high reviews, and I’ll be echoing them. Perfectly seasoned and super fresh crab cake and halibut. If I lived in Sarasota, I’d be returning pretty consistently. As it stands, I’ll just have to leave this review and fantasize about it in the interim.
