Excellent service! (Sit in Rick’s section!) We each ordered the 2-piece blacked catfish and it was OUTSTANDING! The quality, portion size and flavor was spot on. $22 for 2 pieces of fish also includes soup or salad AND two sides!!! I chose the potato soup, cucumber salad, and dressing. My husband opted for Caesar salad, baked potato and Mac & cheese (don’t judge; we had skipped lunch!) We didn’t have any special beverages but they do offer a full bar. We’ll be back sooner than later!

We went for the Valentine’s Day dinner at Comfort. I have been there 2-3 times before this and the food and service was way better. To start my boyfriend went to the bathroom when we first arrived and said there was toilet paper everywhere and the bathroom was disgusting; I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because I liked the restaurant the last time I went but this is where it goes south. So we get our first course the spinach dip looked like it had been sitting out so long he was scared to try to shrimp cocktail in fear he might get sick. They did have good rolls and strawberry butter which sadly that and the desert was the best part of the experience for the meal supposedly worth $168, and DRINKS a sweet tea and a coke weren’t included apparently. Which to me is insane considering it was t even alcohol but oh well I guess. Next we decided to get the Filet Mignon out of the other courses we could’ve had that came with roasted veggies and a twice baked potato, the potato was okay but we had ordered a WELL-DONE steak and when it came out the FIRST time it was still bloody, we have had this happen before and we just asked very nicely if the waitress could send it back; she ignored my please and thank you and just grabbed the plates and took them. When the steaks came out the SECOND time they were still red as can be and looked as if they just made sure to burn the outside and sear the part that was cut. Now I understand everyone’s steak preferences are different but if we are paying $168 for the meal we wanted our steak cooked how we like it. What is sad is that I used to really like this place and I wasted money trying to have a nice outing with my boyfriend and I definitely won’t be back. Also would like to add the fact the steak knife provided was not even clean SEE PIC BELOW.

We were excited to try Comfort in Evansville, but our experience ended up being just okay. The mac and cheese had almost no flavor, (even my three year old wouldn’t touch it) which was disappointing considering how good it looked on the menu. We also asked for my daughter’s meal to be served without grapes because she’s young and has choked on them in the past. Unfortunately, her plate still came out with two grapes on it, which was concerning.
With the cost of food today, the meal really should be great, not just average. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly, but the execution in the kitchen needs improvement.

The food was delicious. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was thick, moist, and had no toughness. It came with fries and coleslaw. My husband chose waffles that came with an amazing strawberry butter. Beautiful atmosphere. Our waiter, Collins, was attentive and kind. We will definitely be back!

We got seated immediately in a Tuesday night.
Our waiter had broken English but it went well.
We started with the King Crab stuffed mushrooms which were smaller than expected and a little too salty (for my taste) I tried it all plates my family got, Country fried steak with fried and coleslaw. Turkey and Dressing with Fruit and Fried Okra(Turkey was my dish and the best one out of the 3) . Salmon with Cucumber salad and German potatoes/fries. They even had a kids menu so family friendly! (Just no coloring pages/crayons)

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Evansville. I’ve went three times, and each time I ordered something different. Everything was delicious. The dining area is a nice rustic feel inside and there’s a seating area out front. The waitresses/waiters were nice enough and kind of attentive. Can’t wait to return and try another dish!

Collins was a wonderful waiter who provided great service. My husband and I really enjoyed him! The food was delicious and brought out in a timely manner. The atmosphere downstairs is so calm and romantic for a date night.
Overall though, ask for Collins. He’s a fun guy 🙂

Never Again! We ordered from there over the weekend country. Fright’s steak was way undercooked and the batter still had flour. Two of our sides were missing and there were no rolls. This is our very first time eating there. And I promise I would not recommend it to anybody.

Good vibes. The atmosphere is just like the name. Comfortable, but classy. First time at a cross-eyed cricket establishment and I can say I’m impressed. Todd is super genuine and that’s so nice to see coming from such a conservative area to here. I came here looking for a good time, and the good times just keep on rolling! Got to try to strawberry butter! So good! Good food and good fun start with Comfort!

Everything was good. Seasoning on the food, temperature was good, friendly staff and the price is good for the portion of food you get.
