My partner and his team visited this restaurant for lunch. A hardworking man expected a delightful meal! Being aware of my passion for food, he consistently sends me pictures. He sent one, and viewing it, I said, “What is this?” It was supposed to be jambalaya, yet it resembled sloppy Joe or dog can food. The shrimp appeared rubbery as well. I advised him to inform the waiter, but he was reluctant to cause an issue. Had I been present, he would have received a refund, or an alternative dish at no cost. I take both my food and his very seriously! Additionally, he mentioned that just looking at it made him feel nauseous, and the taste was horrible. This is unacceptable for $16! With that amount, I could have purchased two boxes of quality pizza. Why was the price not displayed on the menu initially? The sauce was excessively thick, and his plate contained minimal meat and vegetables, accompanied by a small scoop of rice. Indeed, I am furious because the dish looked appalling, and he did not enjoy it at all. Bubba’s Bistro, it is time for a discussion with your chefs because someone is either slacking, or lacks culinary skills altogether. PS: work on the plate presentation and stop being stingy on the amount of food for these high prices!

We stopped on the way home, and so glad we did. The portions are huge (couldn’t finish it) and the staff were great! Thank you Columbia for the best service, we will definitely be back!!
Had the WAWA and the Bougie burgers. Both were delicious, my husband and I split them, and we can’t decide which was better!

I have heard a lot about this place. So a friend and I stopped. I had the shrimp and grits and he had the special meat loaf.

My shrimp and grits were a child’s portion and the shrimp were obviously not fresh caught Georgia (and then verified by the waitress). The meal came cold and flavorless. Really some of the worst I have ever had.

The meatloaf was dried out and not good.

We did speak to the waitress who was very nice and offered us both different menu items.

The service was great, the atmosphere was nice but unfortunately did not measure up to buzz.

I will try it again but avoid the two items mentioned.

Great local spot! Clean comfortable atmosphere, outdoor patio space. Friendly staff & quick service. We had the blue crab artichoke dip, the WaWa sandwich (buffalo chicken & pimento cheese sauce), the Soul Roll (smoked brisket, mac cheese, rice & collard greens in tortilla). Everything was delicious

A Hidden Gem in Richmond Hill!

We live nearby and finally decided to stop by Bubba’s Bistro — and I must say, we were truly pleasantly surprised! The service was warm, polite, and attentive from start to finish.

The menu is diverse and well thought out, offering something for every taste. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. One thing that really stood out to me was how incredibly fresh the greens were — I’m a huge fan of salads, and freshness matters a lot to me. This detail made a big impression!

We were there with friends, and everyone at our table loved their meal. It’s clear that the kitchen puts care into every dish they serve.

To anyone living in Richmond Hill or just passing through — I highly recommend giving Bubba’s Bistro a try. Great food, great service, and a great neighborhood atmosphere!

My family and I stopped at Bubba’s Bistro during our road trip back home and had such a great experience. The food was exceptional, especially the peach cobbler. My husband and I still talk about it and honestly wish we lived closer just to have that pie again! What truly stood out, though, was the kindness of the staff. I accidentally left my purse behind, and the managerial team went above and beyond to help get it safely shipped back home. I’m incredibly grateful for their honesty and care.

We will definitely be making Bubba’s Bistro a must-stop on our future road trips. Highly recommend!

Stepping Up Their Game at Bubba’s Bistro

We both had one of the specials tonight, one of the most tender steaks that I have ever had. My husband had the Texas Pete Shrimp and fries. Also treated ourselves (shared) to the delicious banana pudding. And of course the atmosphere was top notice. We love going to Bubba’s where we feel like family.

My husband and I visited Bubba’s Bistro on Saturday, February 28th around 2:30 PM, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

When we first walked in, no one greeted us. We waited at the front for a bit, unsure if it was seat-yourself, but since no one acknowledged us, we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was extremely unfriendly. She never greeted us, didn’t make eye contact, and completely ignored us. She spent at least 10 minutes helping another customer without once saying, “I’ll be right with you.” After that customer left, she turned her back to us and continued ignoring our presence as if we were bothering her.

She then began talking to a server while making drinks at the well and was openly complaining that she didn’t know how to make certain drinks. At that point, we were already frustrated from being ignored.

I stopped a server in passing to ask whether the restaurant was seat-yourself since we had originally waited at the front to be seated. She was kind and told us it wasn’t, but she helped get us a table in the back corner. Unfortunately, the table was placed under a leaky vent, and once again, we had to wait several more minutes without being greeted. After another five minutes of no acknowledgment, we decided to walk out.

This was our first time trying to eat here, as we are new to the area, and it will definitely be our last. The service was inefficient, the bartender was rude, and the overall atmosphere felt dirty, dingy, and unwelcoming. I also must mention it was very empty when we came. Only a few tables and no one else actually sitting at the bar, only what it appeared her cashing out 1 customer. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

We found a pet friendly patio in Richmond that is a hidden treasure. Our waitress, Jordan, was amazing! She brought our Caviler Sophie fresh water and served her like she was so special. The patio is charming with pickup beds filled with tables and chairs. Music plays, and it feels warm and friendly. Sophie and I opted for Speghatti while my husband got the chopped steak. The food was good. Homemade meatballs were delicious. They have shrimp and grits that are famous! Inside the restaurant is charming. The charm and warm hospitality shines throughout. I highly recommend you bring your family, friends, and your pets. Parking is upfront and free with handicap places available. There is a porch with a swing in the front for those who might have to wait.
