First time here, had the alligator tail and jerk chicken. Both were very good but had to wait just over 30 minutes for our food to come to the table. The atmosphere was like you were in New Orleans and was decorated for Mardi Gras coming up. Our server was great and attentive. I hope to come back for the speakeasy downstairs.

We had my bridal shower here!! Jamie and her amazing staff absolutely rocked it from start to finish!! We all had a blast!! The food was impeccable, the service was top tier, the music was perfect! The vibe was on point. It was the perfect place for our Day of The Dead themed shower!!! And clearly one of my favorite places to go In Plainfield. I can not thank them enough!!

Vibe and service were spot on. Loved the fried catfish. Lots of cajun/carribean dishes. Pricey, but fun for a “splurge on me” day with a friend. My friend ordered a dish with alligator– i tasted it- it was tasty! Coffee comes in a French press, which cost my friend $10 for that “cuppa.” Again, pricey but splurge-worthy. There’s a bar attached, but separated by a brick wall; thus, the sound did not intrude on our dining experience. The bar was hopping for a weekday at lunchtime (1 pm).

We stopped into this spot for lunch and were told it had been around for a while. We were excited to check out the Cajun cuisine, and we were not disappointed.
The menu has an extensive selection of options. If you’re going and just plan on having drinks and appetizers, you will not be disappointed. But there are also many options for traditional Cajun food. Entrées, sandwiches, sides – you name it, they do it.
I think the ambience and the decor also make this an amazing experience. You almost feel transported to New Orleans.
The staff were all really nice too, and helped us with a lot of really good recommendations. We are definitely looking forward to going back again.

I absolutely LOVED my server Brianna Lambert. She was so kind and personable and really made me feel comfortable. We had such good laughs and she was such a genuine server. I went for lunch yesterday and the food was so delicious. I enjoyed my time here and really recommend coming here. You will enjoy the employees and the food!

Katie was amazing. I ordered the gumbo for dinner and we got the Fried Green tomatoes as an appetizer which is a staple of our visits here. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great time with the wife as always. Katie even gave recommendations for our next visit. If you ever make it to Plainfield and can stop at Moe Joe’s you won’t regret it.

Large menu. Lots of seafood choices. Layers of flavor. Our server Raina was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate the menu. Definitely will ne back. We enjoyed the BBQ shrimp appetizer. We ordered the Shrimp creole, and Seafood etouffe,and muffeletta sandwich. All authentic and large portions. Will definitely be back to try the burgers.

Love this place!! Maddie was our server and she is amazing! My husband and I were there a few weeks ago and she remembered us and our drinks! We had the alligator bites and they were so good! Definitely making it there more often primarily because Maddie made us feel so welcome!

I’ve been coming here for years, and I have always considered MoeJoes a gold standard when it comes to local restaurants. From the food to the service and down to the theme and atmosphere, MoeJoes shows that they put time and effort into what they do.
Maddie has become one of my favorite bartenders to stop in and visit. She has good banter with guests and is always on top of timely refills! During football season she is knowledgeable enough to talk fantasy football with(even if she does where a Cutler jersey haha).
If you haven’t tried this place yet, you definitely should!
Gumbo with some cornbread is a great mid afternoon snack! But the Muffalata is a great entrée!
