Donut King is always a good idea. This is our family’s go-to doughnut maker in KC. Everything is baked fresh, the flavor is always out of this world, and the prices are fair.
Our favorites have to be the chocolate long johns (pillowy soft yeast-based dough), lemon filled, and the s’mores! The blueberry cake doughnuts are also a hit.

Was out of town and came across this donut shop. The lady who helped us was really nice and took the time to explain what they had without being rude, which is rare to see nowadays. She even took the time to wrap a donut that had peanuts, just to be cautious if anyone had an allergy. Would definitely recommend and go again if ever in town. Also, dont know the lady’s name but they deserve a raise

Donut King has been on my list for over a year and I finally got here! It’s pretty far north for someone who lives in Lee’s Summit. But I found myself in the area and couldn’t resist bringing my wife some donuts from here. I had two of them as well.
I heeded other reviews I had read and ordered the peanut butter doughnut, chocolate Bismarck and the cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was fine as was the chocolate longjohn. The peanut butter doughnut was pretty fantastic as was well as the old-fashioned.
The store was bright, colorful and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful, patient, and kind. They were very good at serving customers quickly to mitigate the line and overcrowding. They also have a drive-through.

The cashier was very well aware of his surroundings.Being that we went late in the day.He still offered us fresh donut there were a lot of varieties, but there weren’t a lot up front. So he knew where the fresh donuts was, he was very aware of everything. The old-fashioned donuts were really good. The caramel old-fashioned salted caramel old fashion were good too. The atmosphere was good. Customer service was good. I’m gonna recommend people. Go there 4.5 stars out of the 5 way better than Lamar’s donuts. I’ll tell you that much. Ps the reason why we only put a picture of the box because we ate all the donuts, and we didn’t have no donuts to show. Thank you donut king

Hands down, my favorite go-to donut spot in KC. I’ve never once been disappointed. The staff delivers great customer service every time, the donuts are made in-house, and everything is delicious at a great price.

This place happens to be the worst place I’ve ever gotten kalache’s. I haven’t tried the donuts yet. I’m kind of scared too. The coffee was not even good and the price is outrageous. The kolaches all 3 had the same sausage, I don’t know what they do how they cook it, but it is no good. I do not like it, I’m very dissatisfied. I paid a lot of money $,26 for to kalache’s two doughnuts , one coffee outrageous never again

Donut King is awesome. There were 2 very kind ladies working when my son and I showed up for a variety of donuts. Day or evening, they are always ready for customers. I enjoy being to pop in for an amazing sweet treat anytime. Everything is delicious and it is great.
The options are so abundant that we ended up choosing 2 dozen. They were even kind enough to give us additional punch cards so we could put them in with the plates of donuts we gave to the neighbors.
It was so much fun going through all the trays and point at what goes into the box. She would count for us and tell us how many are left to get to a dozen.

Got some donuts for my coworker who was coming back from maternity leave and they were super understanding and patient with me and all my indecisiveness! I love all the donut options but I do wish there were some more yeast donut options! All the cake donuts have such fun flavors and I wish they had just as many for yeast donuts! But I really enjoy donut king and I’ll be coming back!
