Tasty Mexican restaurant offering large portion sizes and an extensive menu. The restaurant itself is decorated to the brim with lots of Mexican themed art and decor, and the service was quick. We came for lunch on a Sunday so that could have helped the speed, it wasn’t too busy. The food itself, while good, was nothing out of the ordinary from most Mexican restaurants.

This is only the second Google review I have ever written. I am typically always understanding of service based experiences and how timing and life can affect the way you interact with customers so when I say we had a bad experience I mean it. For what ever reason we felt judged as soon as we sat down. It’s crazy to say that the teenage busser who gave us our chips was the nicest person we interacted with. When our server got to our table after sitting for almost 10 minutes there was no introduction no welcome no name just simply what do you want, and to be honest if we didn’t start talking I wonder how long we would have sat in silence before she spoke. Food came out hot and didn’t take long, it was delicious as the the other reviews state and the coke was from heaven, however I noticed that our drinks came out like any other restaurant which is fine but I observed since we were next to the kitchen that every other drink was served with a lime on the rim without exception not to read into it but why did we not have the same service. Okay this isn’t that crazy so far you may think and I was willing to over look these small things I try not judge however the part that bothered me the most was when our server ignored my wife anytime she spoke English and opted to speak and reply in only Spanish. Context my wife is from Colombia but she speaks university level English is very fluent and clear. I do not speak Spanish and only understand a little. Not only did this make my wife feel bad but it completely excluded me from the meal. Our server never asked if we were doing ok or if we needed anything else and even went as far as to ask if we wanted a box when we were barely half way through the meal. To top it all our dessert came out and not a single plate or cup was removed from the table which certainly effected the dessert experience. Our server was alma g according to the receipt. The service seemed normal standard for any table other than ours and as stated the food was delicious so if you decide to come we can recommend it aside from our server. Hope your experience is better

Good portions and variety of options. Family friendly. The crew was nice and we got helped quickly. Arriving near 8:30 pm must have helped

The food here is delicious and plentiful! The reasons I didn’t give 5 stars are that the dessert was delivered too soon before we had barely started our main entrees and that the place is so popular that the place was packed, which impacted the private dining atmosphere. I do recommend Mi Ranchito, but I suggest you avoid the rush hour times to enjoy their fine food!

Our family has been coming to the Orem Rancherito for over 10 years. Over the years, we’ve tried almost all of the plates. Some we don’t care for, and others have portions that are simply too large (which, honestly, is not a bad thing). We’ve found that the molcajete is the perfect balance of portion size and flavor for our family—and in our opinion, it’s the best molcajete in all of Utah.
Unfortunately, tonight we had a very uncomfortable experience with our server. We are a family of seven: two adults, one teenager, and three kids (ages 10, 8, 6, and 1). When we were seated, we ordered our usual—one molcajete. The server repeatedly asked, “That’s it?” Multiple times I explained that yes, it’s the perfect portion for our family.
He continued joking about us not ordering enough food, and that’s when it became awkward and uncomfortable. When he brought the food out, the jokes continued. He told us he had accidentally put in two molcajetes and asked if we wanted the extra one. I politely said no, we did not need more food. He came back again and suggested we order fajitas. Once more, I declined and explained that we’ve tried the parrillada before, found it too dry, and also too much food.
He laughed and commented that he would need more food. After that, he did not come by our table to check on us, ask if we needed refills, or see how everything was. Meanwhile, the large table next to us received multiple refills and plenty of attention.
I understand that servers earn their money through tips, and higher bills often mean higher tips—but that should not affect the level of service provided. We still left a decent tip because the food is always great, but the jokes and comments made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Management should speak with Miguel. Déjenle saber que entre broma y broma, la verdad se asoma, y que ese tipo de comentarios también incomodan. We even had to ask for our check, and we showed him that we had leftovers we didn’t want to take home. He then went on to tell us stories about other customers ordering too much food and wasting it, though they still had to pay—an unnecessary and confusing comment.
We love this restaurant and will continue to come for the food, but the service tonight was disappointing and uncomfortable.

Mi Ranchito is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in Orem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to offer great recommendations.
The food is absolutely delicious! Everything tastes fresh and full of authentic flavors. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. Their fajitas are sizzling perfection, the enchiladas are packed with flavor, and the chips and salsa are the perfect way to start the meal.
Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, Mi Ranchito never disappoints. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone who loves great Mexican food. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

Been going to this location my whole life. Not sure what changed in the last few years but there’s obvious cost cutting measures taking place. Despite the restaurant being busy around the clock the quality of the ingredients and recipes has taken a significant downturn. The meat across dishes is unseasoned and flavorless. The chips for the free chips & salsa are obviously sourced from a cheaper supplier, have zero flavor and taste stale. The beans and rice that come with most plates tastes like nothing. Hate to leave a review like this but it’s just the facts. The food throughout the menu is flavorless and bland. Nothing like it used to taste. I could legitimately make better tasting food at home with store bought seasonings and techniques from a YouTube video.

After a trip to the mall it’s always time to relax & grab some of the best Mexican cuisine in town. Service is as wonderful as the exotic flavors of everything from tacos to fajitas. Be sure to leave room for fried ice cream. It’s one of my personal favorites when your sweet tooth needs something really special.

Every time I come to Mi Ranchito Orem. The food has been spot on . They have the best pineapple water! Other places I have been to. The Chile relleno tastes like the fridge. This place it is fresh and tastes wonderful! It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here and food is still awesome!

Great place to dine in our take out. One thing i love about this restaurant is their consistent. Food has been the same for a long as i can remember. I’ve been a customer about 35 years now. Same location, which is rare.
Prices feel reasonable, service is always good. They will accommodate large parties
