Everything was great, food was amazing! There were 2 guys though that were acting strange like they wanted to fight my husband and brother for no reason at all. We were all minding our business and they were being silly for no reason. Grown men a acting out lol other that that, it was amazing!

We tried E-bar for the first time recently and thought it was a solid tex-mex option in Dallas. Of note, this was a takeout order. We got the chips and queso, beef fajitas, and a cheese enchilada. The queso was a white queso which was delicious and also came with a great red salsa. The fajitas were good, but I have had better beef fajitas and usually like having the bone marrow butter with it. The cheese enchilada was also very delicious and I would order that again. Overall, this was a solid spot and I would be excited to go eat there in person next time and try more items on the menu.

I was here last week with family after an evening event, and I have to say that I love both the more famous “eBar” (if you know, then you know) and this E Bar.

Finding a seat wasn’t difficult, and the waitresses and staff treated us well. I decided to try the Southwest Salad with pieces of fajita steak, and it was delightful. I’m surprised I finished the whole dish with how scrumptious the chips and salsa were, too.

I’d happily come back for how many appealing dishes there are, not to mention I love the area, and I’d happily recommend E Bar to anyone after Tex-Mex in Old East Dallas/Lower Greenville.

One of the better hole-in-the-wall Tex-Mex spots I’ve been to. I thoroughly enjoyed the food & experience here! My wife took me here for Father’s Day, and while the outside of the building may not be as inviting, you’re missing a true treat if you don’t go inside. This spot is perhaps better suited for lunch dates, a bar stop on the way home, or a cozy date for you & the misses in the evening. Although there was “families” here during my visit, the space of the restaurant appears more suited for smaller & intimate parties. The workers were very inviting and warm in their service. Food was delicious!! I had the grilled tacos & they were the absolute BOMB! Drinks were solid & refreshing as well! My only complaint is the space of the venue. When it’s packed, it’s packed. But in the end, you work with what you have & boy, E-Bar does just that! I highly recommend!

Recommend the E Bar queso! I ordered the enchiladas which were good, but I thought the chili con carne would be cheesy but it’s not. U should ask for both queso and chili if that’s what u want! They had a wait but it’s easy to grab a drink and sit in a waiting area outside. Our waitress was very efficient and nice.

Service was very quick and friendly. Several large screen tvs so great place to watch four games at once if you want. The salsa was delicious. The brisket and carnita tacos were stuffed and delicious, not the absolute best I have ever had but close. The Cob Salad was packed as well including jumbo shrimp, chicken, and bacon. Spent about $40 on two entrees. Money well spent. Will definitely be returning!

My boyfriend and I have been coming to this bar for years. It’s always been a place where we felt comfortable, and the bartenders have consistently treated us with warmth and respect. Many of them know us by name, and over time we genuinely felt like part of the community there.

That’s why what happened on our most recent visit was so shocking.

It was the end of the night, the bar was nearly empty, and we were simply sitting together finishing our drinks. I was rubbing my boyfriend’s back—something small, affectionate, and entirely normal for any couple. We weren’t being loud, disruptive, or inappropriate in any way.

Out of nowhere, the general manager “Matt” approached us in an aggressive and confrontational manner. He (“GM Matt”) accused me of “groping” my boyfriend, a claim that was not only untrue but completely disconnected from what was actually happening. Before we could even process what he was saying, he demanded that we leave.

The situation escalated when the general manager put his hands on my boyfriend while forcing us out. There was no justification for physical contact of any kind. The hostility and intensity of his behavior felt targeted, and the entire interaction left us shaken and humiliated.

What made the situation even more painful was the reaction from the bartenders—people who have always treated us kindly. Several of them expressed that they disagreed with how we were treated, but because the person responsible was the general manager, they felt powerless to intervene. Their support meant a lot, but it also underscored how wrong the situation was.

From our perspective, the way we were singled out felt discriminatory. We were treated differently for showing the same harmless affection any other couple would show without issue. The experience left us feeling unsafe, unwelcome, and judged for who we are rather than anything we did.

No customer should ever be physically handled by management, and no couple should be targeted for expressing normal affection. For LGBTQ+ patrons seeking a safe environment, this is not a place I can recommend. What happened to us was unacceptable, and people deserve to know how the general manager chose to treat long‑time loyal customers.

E Bar Tex-Mex is one of my favorite places to eat. I love their chips and salsa and their Tortilla soup is delicious. I got the Tortilla soup and salad. The salad that came with it is more like a Mexican salad, but I am picky with my salad and I cut all of that off. My husband had chicken enchiladas with sour cream and he said it was very good. If you like margaritas, they have the best. All the staff were real nice and our waitress was very nice and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

An East Dallas institution! E Bar always delivers excellent food and drinks with a solid neighborhood crowd. The fajitas and specialties are great. Portions size, quality, and price are very reasonable, and we even order to go with designated pickup spots in the back.

Looking for a place in Dallas for great Tex-Mex food this is your place. This is a small
Place but it didn’t disappoint from start to finish. Sydney was our server and she was wonderful. I’m a sucker for frozen margaritas and this place had a great frozen and also made on the rocks with great consistency. We ordered the spinach queso followed by the fajita street tacos and the chicken Flautas, both dishes were prepared excellent. I have eaten at a lot of Tex-Mex and often disappointed but this place definitely won my vote. I would recommend to all friends to give this place a try.
