The portion of side rice was huge, more than enough to enjoy with the rich gravy. On top of that, the customer service was great — friendly and welcoming.
Definitely adding this place to our “must try again” list!
We visited Spice of India in Westminster for a date night and ordered the non-vegetarian Spice of India Thaali for two. It was a great way to sample several dishes, and overall the food was excellent!
The meal started with both vegetable and chicken pakora, which were tasty and well-fried. They came with a green chutney and a red sweet sauce. The red sauce had a bit more flavor for me, but both paired nicely with the appetizers.
The stars of the dinner were definitely the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Curry — rich, flavorful, and beautifully spiced. The Saag and Vegetable Korma were also very enjoyable and comforting. The Tandoori Chicken had nice flavor as well, though it was just a bit dry this time. Fresh naan was included and perfect accompaniment to the dishes. We finished with Kheer pudding, which was lightly sweet and a pleasant way to end the meal.
The ambiance was relaxed, and I really enjoyed the Indian music videos playing in the background — fun and fitting without being distracting. The owner, Sudip, introduced himself personally, and he was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The rest of the staff were also warm and welcoming, which made the experience quite enjoyable.
I’d be happy to come back again, next time I’d love to try the Daal and explore more of the menu. A great local spot for flavorful Indian cuisine and hospitality.
A special thank you to the manager, Sudip — such a kind gentleman who gave us great recommendations and helped us choose the perfect dishes. Wonderful food and wonderful service. We’ll definitely be back!
