We live in New York City and have looked forward to trying Detroit style pizza from the area for a while now. I read that Buddy’s was one of the best spots and when we saw it at the Michigan game we had to bring some home with us. The pizza didn’t disappoint, it was fantastic! The style reminded us somewhat of Sicilian style pizza but with the sauce on top of the cheese. It was really good and highly recommended!

We ordered pizza it had hardly any toppings in the middle, was all cheese and alittle sauce on top. It wasn’t cooked enough so the crust was like flat sauce cardboard. Was expecting a beautifully raised pizza with toppings on top. Couldn’t hardly eat it. Fried veggies were taken from fryer and dumped in container. No straining there. Employees were great. I tried to add pic wouldn’t let me.

Was traveling and wanted to try a local pizza place. Buddy’s did not disappoint. The server was helpful in explaining portion size options for our party. Food was delicious and vibe fun! Would definitely come back when in the area!

Buddy’s in Ann Arbor sometimes takes forever to get a table but Thursday we walked right in. The waiter was excellent, he let me know he had to sub the bread since the other had dairy in it. And he asked if I prefer a different sauce for the same issue. He was attentive and kind.

I get carryout from the Ann Arbor location about once a week. They are always pleasant at the counter even when they are busy! I usually get the Super 6 Mile and an Antipasto salad. The toppings are always generous on the pizza. I love the buddy bread too! I also get the Sicilian which is soooooo good!!!

I got half Detroiter, half Spicy Italian. My girlfriend got half DPBS, half Detroiter on gluten free crust.
The gluten free crust was great, and my girlfriend loved it.
My normal pizza originally came out a bit off (flat and maybe underdone?), but our server Ahtumn B was awesome and caught that and got a new pizza made for us before I even tried the first pizza and confirmed it wasn’t great. The second pizza was exactly what I wanted, nice crispy crust and good cheese.

Probably the best Michigan based pizza in the game. The sauce is just right. Buddy bread is soft like a cloud but filled with flavor somehow, some way. Service is good, but can slow down a bit if it gets crowded and Buddy’s is usually crowded.
