Unfortunately, that experience has changed — and it’s not just a “last couple visits” issue. The downturn has been noticeable for quite some time now. I keep going back hoping it will feel like it used to, but each visit leaves me a little more disappointed.
The biggest difference is value. Portions have clearly shrunk over the years while prices have steadily increased. What used to feel hearty and satisfying now feels scaled back. It’s not subtle — it was a noticeable shift when it happened, and it hasn’t corrected.
The wings are a perfect example. Flavor-wise, they’re still one of my favorites anywhere. That hasn’t changed. But the size absolutely has. They used to be huge — almost oversized compared to most restaurants. Now they’ve swung completely the other direction. The sad part isn’t just that they’re smaller than they used to be. By any standard, they’re small. I genuinely can’t recall another restaurant I’ve been to serving wings that small.
The atmosphere and overall feel have also shifted. It used to feel hospitality-driven. Now it feels more like the focus is on efficiency and margins. Service hasn’t been awful, but it doesn’t have the same warmth and attentiveness that once made the place stand out.
It’s disappointing because this brand built its reputation on generous portions, solid food, and a fun, comfortable environment. That formula worked. It created loyal customers like my family. When that balance changes, people notice — especially those of us who have been coming back for years.
I’ll probably still stop in twice a year because of what it represents for me personally. I just wish the experience still matched the memories.
There are a few really awesome servers at this location, but you could tell Aaron B really cares about his job and how he performs. One of the main reasons we come to this location is how nice the servers are, and they’re well trained. If anyone is going to this Outback location, I would strongly suggest asking for Aaron B. He will definitely make sure your meal there is a pleasant experience.
Food wise, complimentary bread is always fresh and warm. Salad was crisp and came out exactly how we ordered them. Ribeye steak was cook perfectly, and seasoned well. Broccoli and mashed potatoes also well done. Honestly, not one complaint, food wise.
Aaron checked on us throughout our meal. Making sure everything was to our liking. He was awesome during our entire dining experience there.
Just a note, they did remodel this location not too long ago. Looks very nice and refreshed. Everything was clean, with a nice and calm atmosphere.
Our experience there was definitely worth leaving a five star review. Aaron B was so awesome, that we told the floor manager how amazing he was, before we left.
Andover cooked and over-seasoned
And the steak had way too much seasoning as well be careful about asking to have no seasonings or extra light seasoning because they are heavy around their it’s part of their company policy or something..
There is a sign on the wall but it’s not when you can see when you walk in you have to sit down and look for it it’s around the corner from where you sit it’s hard to see I mean somebody would have to point it out to you and then they want to leave the pressure on the server to have to say it and then they have a whole speech and the manager told us how she says it and she was very overbearing and talk too much in her form of service so she’s not really the best teacher but she was nice and we did pay too much and we tipped like $40 but that’s good I’m not sure if we’re going to go back to stay outback steakhouse anytime soon
They’re only getting four stars because of the service because of the guy that was working as the waiter and he wasn’t even that great he bent my ID or tried to or started to anyway I didn’t like the way it was handling it and I have experience as a bouncer and my job was to check IDs so I had him do a little play with me and I showed him how you can look at the ID and give people a dirty look and say it’s wrong and say no this says you’re 7 ft 7 and make a joke out of it and you know I have a gray in my beard and he’s 20 something and he’s messing with my ID because it’s from a different state and it was just there was a little things you know and there was a lot to get over and get through and you know it’s okay we had a good time because we have a good time but I’m not sure if you like good food if you like nice steak if you like lobster I don’t recommend you get it out the outback steakhouse although the tuna was really good
The steak was okay once they remade it for me it was okay they gave me a piece and I didn’t really like to cut they chose for the remake it showed a lot of pride in the kitchen back there and that’s a problem you run into the restaurant business is the kooks are full of themselves and how dare there’s a mistake and it must be our fault and
Blah blah blah blah
Anyway the food was okay
The service was pretty good
And management tried to make up for it but I didn’t feel like apologizing for complaining a second time and saying that I don’t want to pay for the lobster I probably should have made a fuss, but whatever.. tip well and walk away
NOT ANYMORE…
Food tastes like it was cooked with a heat lamp… auzzie fries used to be my go to. Now they taste like fried cardboard.
I ordered a single shot of house tequila, 7bucks!?!
Don’t waste your time or money here… there’s a million BBQ joints around here where the food is 10x better and doesn’t taste like a frozen dinner from aldi!
Bartender was taking my plate off the bar before i finished eating,
and DON’T GO BY THE TIP GUIDE ON THE CHECK!
NEVER AGAIN…
Haven’t been to an outback in many years and we decided to give it a try. Placed an online order for
steak salad
Tasmanian shrimp and scallop pasta
Loaded baked potato with extra toppings
Fried shrooms appetizer
Side of fries
I also signed up for their reward program and got the free blooming onion.
Drove the 20 minutes to pick up and it was ready when I arrived. When I returned home I realized I had no steak on my salad, half a container of potato fixings, a burnt and overcooked baked potato and a $22 bowl of pasta with only 3 shrimp and 2 scallops!
Called the store about the missing steak and drove back to pick it up. After speaking with the manager I then had to wait 10 more minutes for the rest of the food I already paid for to be prepared, while the rest of my food got cold at home. The manager brought me the bag with barely a sorry and that was it.
The appetizers were full of grease and even when I tried to reheat in my air fryer the mushrooms and onions stayed a mushy mess. I didn’t get to eat dinner with my family and didn’t enjoy any of the food I did eat. I have no incentive to return and recommend everyone stay away from this poorly managed restaurant with subpar, over priced food. There are better tasting options with better prices.
