New Year’s Eve was very busy, festive and fun! Retro interior with amazing drinks and food. Highly suggest the Mai tais and mojitos. For appetizers we got the pot stickers and edamame. For the main dishes we got Szechuan beef, chicken fried rice and Singapore Street noodles. We left with lots of leftovers and full tummies. Will definitely be back again. Ask for Jocelyn, she was the best!

MY FAV CHINESE spot! We came here just to try it out, but 5 times later… it’s still the BEST! Customer service is awesome! My son loves their wings as he is still getting around to trying new foods! My husband and I always get wonton soup, egg rolls, fried rice, crispy chicken with bang bang sauce, ALSO broccoli beef! portions are generous!!!!! Awesome vibes, good food!

Well, I have to come to terms with the fact that the Yee’s that I grew up with and spent a significant portion of my adult life loving is gone. This new version is but a semblance of what it was. Clearly there have been cost-saving measures put in place by the new owners, as the portions I got were significantly smaller than before and almost nothing tastes the same anymore.
I got egg foo yung, which was always my favorite but this iteration is sub-par. It was somehow slimy inside even after I cooked it more, and the gravy was nothing like it used to be – somehow extremely dark and it just didn’t have the same flavor that I had come to love. Even the rice was not great – it was not fluffy but compact and not a great texture, probably overcooked.
The dumplings were bad and tiny. The dipping sauce was bad.
My favorite part of Yee’s was always the egg rolls, but let me tell you – these are absolutely not OG eggrolls. They used to be stuffed with filling, and now they are sparsely filled and they seem to have doubles or tripled the amount of wrap so you get a mouthful of dough with every bite instead of a crispy outside with plentiful filling. And since they are triple the cost and half the size, you’re getting around 1/6th of what you used to.
On side note, I had a coupon for 60% off from UberEats. I still feel like I overpaid.
Is this place good for a Chinese restaurant? Maybe.
Is it OG Yee’s? Absolutely not.

Was I expecting Mr. Yee’s to be this good? Honestly, not really. But I have to say, it’s definitely one of the best American-Chinese I’ve had in Wisconsin. Truly, it was fantastic! We tried the beef with broccoli and the Kung Pao chicken, and both dishes were bursting with flavor. The service was wonderful too—Diana, our waitress, was absolutely the sweetest person. And don’t overlook their drink and dessert menu! The pineapple cake with cajeta was incredibly delicious, just like their Mai Tai. If we find ourselves back in Kenosha, we’ll definitely return to Mr. Yee’s, no doubt about it!
PD: I am not sure if they take reservations, but the place was packed (as you would expect at a good restaurant on a Saturday night), and they said the wait would be 20-25 min. They let us sit at the bar and ordered some drinks while we waited. So keep in mind that you might have to wait a little bit!

My take out order was delicious. The food wasn’t greasy and the chicken was perfectly tender. The general Tso’s chicken had a nice spicy too it without being overwhelming. We will definitely try dining in sometime soon.

Had a wonderful experience! Food was all around was very good! full of flavor, very fresh, and perfect amount of spice. Hot and sour soup had the best broth and zing, we shared Szechuan pork, street noodles, and chicken lo mein.
Very satisfied with all dishes. Our server Hailey was newer and had a huge table to tend to also, she did a really good job communicating with being pleasantly attentive and letting us know if things where just take a little longer than usual and kept our tea pots full. Very cool atmosphere and music.

This place has been around since the 50s for a reason. Excellent fresh food and great service! Walking in is like stepping back in time, love it! the hot and sour soup is so good, chicken fried rice is delicious with the bean sprouts in there, and the side of egg roll, sweet and sour shrimp and crab Rangoon that came with our meal was so so good. We had the dinner for two and the sesame chicken and garlic chicken were fantastic too!!
