Even though we came after the sun went down & missed the beach view, captain daves was adorable! The food was delicious. Got the surf and turf filet and lobster and then the filet and added grilled shrimp. The flavor was impeccable. Our server was full of energy and super kind, understanding, and helpful. We both got the daves punch drink and boy did it pack a punch! Overall price wise wasn’t bad!

We ordered the Stuffed Shrimp Parm and the Mahi Parm. Both were absolutely amazing, along with dessert, the strawberry shortcake cheesecake. Our waitress, Allyson, took great care of us, and the surrounding staff was attentive to other tables as well (helping to clear plates and refill beverages). We will be returning 🙂

We found this place while walking to Kenny D’s and made a point to go after we saw so many people parked across the street waiting to go in. The drinks were great for the price. I asked the waitress, Dee, what fish she recommended and she didn’t disappoint with the red snapper Jane. I’ve never had snapper and this was absolutely incredible fish. We got the twice baked potato as a side and it was the best I’ve ever had. We were so satisfied and will definitely be back. Had a nice drink outside on the patio while waiting for our table as well.

What beautiful view of the Ocean while you are eating. Great atmosphere, it wasn’t too noisy. Service was good. Food was delicious. We ended up getting the parmesean crusted Mahi which was fantastic. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied with was that did not have any boiled shrimp on the menu. Other than that absolutely fantastic place.

A great spot with a great manager and even better Food! Got those bacon-wrapped scallops so good you could even sing about them. though he’s a little goofy. Great guy with a great family! Lineage dating back to the founding of Destin. He may or may not know who this is but I think if he thought back about 15 years he would remember a guy that was young full of life and a few mistakes to which the family definitely helped! Shout out to Austin Marler and family. 100 mph over the bridge hands up Whataburger what get out and go try some Captain Dave’s on the Gulf!

It was vacation treat for us. Amazing surroundings, next to ocean and fresh breeze. Dave has really nice woody classic ambient. Has this cozy vibe to it. Great apps. We had the shrimp and kids enjoyed it. Food wise, it’s very fancy but not my taste. Nevertheless great sea food options. Fresh and on the sweeter side.

We finally got to Captain Dave’s! The Grouper with Grit Cakes is so far one of the best fish entrees I’ve had in the panhandle. Mr. M had Grouper Pontchartrain: liked the Grouper, but wasn’t a fan of the crab texture. The salads and carrots were fantastic, as were the hush puppies! Our server (can’t recall his name, but the tall guy from Pittsburgh) was delightful. We would definitely dine here again.

Capt Daves is always a must stop on our trips down to the beautiful coast. Mahi Parmesan, Stuffed Shrimp Parmesan, Snapper Jane, you name it! I have never had a bad meal here and the staff is always kind and friendly.
