We heard a lot of good things about this place. So we decided to stop in with our two sets of twins age 6 and 2. We needed a booth and two high chairs. Service was amazing from the moment we walked in til we headed out. Not easy traveling or dinging our with kids.
Food was great. Service was quick. We definitely enjoyed our time here and will make sure to stop in whenever we are in the dells.

Came here for breakfast. Ordered Eggs Benedict meal and pancake meals. The pancakes were so nice and fluffy! The eggs Benedict sauce was delicious. The part that made this restaurant stick out was the waitress Anne, she was so kind, kept checking in on our drinks and food and made sure to ask if the food was up to standard. She was the nicest waitress/waiter we’ve had in the dells in a while. Her service alone deserved 5 ⭐️ s.

Denny’s Diner (the local one, not the chain!)
If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that’s equal parts delicious and delightfully quirky, this family-run diner is it. Be warned: it’s popular, so summer mornings mean a bit of a wait. But honestly, the wait is half the fun—you’ll be entertained just soaking in the atmosphere.
Step inside and you’re instantly transported to the 80s. There’s a telephone booth with Superman inside, a train chugging along the ceiling , Star Wars spacecraft dangling overhead ✨, and even the Grinch standing guard by the register . It’s like breakfast meets pop culture museum, and kids (and kids-at-heart) will love it.
Now, let’s talk food. Their cinnamon rolls are legendary—gooey, sweet, and big enough to share (though you won’t want to). Sticky buns are equally drool-worthy, and pro tip: grab some to-go because they keep well for a few days and make the perfect “midweek pick-me-up.” Everything else we’ve tried—omelets, pancakes, bacon, you name it—has been consistently delicious. I’ve never left thinking, “eh, maybe not next time.”
The staff? Absolute gems. Friendly, fast, and they keep tables turning quickly so even if you’re waiting, you won’t be stuck too long. Just remember: cash or check only. No cards here, but don’t panic—there’s an ATM right by the register.
In short: come hungry, bring cash, and don’t skip the cinnamon rolls. This diner is a local treasure that serves up comfort food with a side of nostalgia and fun.

I absolutely LOVE coming here for breakfast when I’m in town. This has to be my familys new favorite resteraunt. This isnt anything like the other Dennys resteraunts. Whatever seasonings they use are amazing. They have a small arcade and awesome pictures to look at. The staff have all been great! I recommend this place to anyone anytime

Best diner I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in alot! The food was great, try the cinnamon and pecan rolls. They are world famous for a reason! The staff was great, our waitress was a doll! Fun place. Great locals too. We went in on the off season. I could see it getting pretty busy in the summer though. Check it out!

Dining in is necessary! LBVS. Tried Take Out and the staff forgot about me!(on the phone) I wasn’t sure if I should hang up or call back, but they guy who answered the phone was having a full on conversation with a server about customers! I missed the most of the conversation they had but i turned on the call recording. The guy finally comes back on 12 minutes later and asks if I’m still there. I was like yeah I wasn’t sure if I should hang up or continue listening to the conversations they were having. Then he tells a server there’s someone on the phone for over 10 minutes and there’s some muffled talk about it. Obviously someone of no importance! Finally the server gets on the phone and her tone is clearly irritated by a phone order. She’s obviously annoyed and keeps complaining that she can’t hear me. Meanwhile I’m recording everything! I told her I could hear her fine. She said it again and complained that the volume on the phone wasn’t turned up. The server must have been super busy because she didn’t seem like she wanted to take my order. Upon paying they already charged a tip?? Hmmmm….for a server who was rude and didn’t want to take my order. I wonder how much she gratuity she gave herself?? Then my cinnamon roll was raw on the inside and tasted like dough. My omelet looked like the cook forgot about me too! The toast was replaced by warm bread.

What a good breakfast spot in the Dells! You simply must order a cinnamon roll. They’re so good! The atmosphere is fun with lots for littles to look at and the staff were very friendly.

This Denny’s was packed with people coming into town — definitely a lively and entertaining scene to take in. It made for a surprisingly fun visual experience while waiting for our food.
We only ordered a small dish to share, but it tasted great — fresh and flavorful, just what you’d hope for from a classic Denny’s stop. The only downsides were that it was cash-only and a bit pricey, which caught us off guard.
Honestly, though, my main reason for stopping by was the mural on the back of the building. It was nostalgic and took me straight back to my childhood — worth the visit on its own.
Overall, between the atmosphere, the food, and that mural, it’s a solid 5 out of 5 from me.
