Had been wanting to try this place for a while and know I wasn’t missing out on anything, my salad was the blandest thing I’ve event ordered. Reminded me of hospital food. Then other plates where not great either. Service was good, servers where attentive and friendly but the food was not it.

Amazing experience . Service: 11/10. Was fast & so friendly, like we were family friends. Food: 10/10. By far best chicken tortilla soup I’ve ever had. Spanish rice was amongst very best I’ve had anywhere. Their green sauce in one of our entrees was amazingly balanced. Chile Colorado was flavorful/ tender. Fresh tortillas, draft beer in big glass vessels!
Cannot believe I’ve been coming to SoCal for 25yrs & had never been here. Morenos is on my Mt Rushmore of Mexican restaurant places now. If in the OC, we will come here.

Very solid Mexican food. Outdoor is dog friendly. Bring your own water/food for your dog. And the salsa has a nice kick to it. We will add it to our restaurant cycle.

Valentine’s date with my husband and I’ll say this was a nice choice. This place has been around forever; the service is probably why they achieved this longevity. We made a reservation for Valentine’s Day, as you would because of high restaurant patronage on this day. We were pleased to be led to a table inside, which we requested, with a reserved sign sitting on it. Bravo! That’s rare these days even with a reservation, to be seated as expected. I ordered the blood orange margarita which really was divine! Also, my simple combo, a taco and enchilada, though typical and what you’d expect, was very good. The taco was stuffed to the gills with meat. Very nice, we will be back more often now I think.

My family has come to this restaurant since my grandparents first began when they were young. An institution and staple for many families. Their patio is dreamy, you feel transported so far away. Plates are large and often shareable and the blood orange margaritas are not to be missed. If you haven’t been, plan a weeknight and go. Weekends tend to be CROWDED. Holidays are tough too as everyone wants to bring their mother here in mother’s day

Met here this morning with a car club. We had a great meal and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity!
Food was delicious and served by the great team of wait staff that took care of our tables with the utmost professionalism.
The building itself was quite interesting, used to be a meeting hall many years ago, church type architecture and interesting balcony, brick arch design.
Will be happy to return in the future

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since 93 and the food is consistently great, but the menu hasn’t changed much since when it was Moreno’s wish they would come out with some new style dishes for a change. The chips and salsa are delicious, and sitting outside on the patio. I gave it a four stars because the customer service is amazing the food is amazing the prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere there is wow !! you can feel the love that they have for their customers. I enjoyed my lunch here, but can’t say I loved it as the dishes, salsas, and sauces all lack the authentic Mexican bite of jalapeno or chile. You may have to wait a min for a table because it’s a smaller place just wait it’s worth it or take it to go !
