I highly doubt it’s just this location because these burgers have to be mass produced and shipped to various locations. The workers got everything right and were nice. I have lived in OK for over a year now and hesitated to ever try Braum’s because it seemed over hyped and no one I’ve met has ever seriously recommended it. And honestly, the pictures online fell flat, and I was right. Will never be going back. You can quite literally get better quality beef from Walmart, add a little salt and pepper, cook it any way and it’ll taste more flavorful. Incredibly embarrassing for a chain that claims to have access to fresh dairy and beef. I feel like it’s almost costing them more to ship poor quality beef from other parts of the country. Because KS, TX, OK, and more nearby states would never produce such garbage. NYC pays major for Midwest beef. Braum’s is apparently paying next to nothing for horrible beef from wherever is cheapest.
Edit: one day later 10/7. We were optimistic yesterday and got the burgers and we also got a pint of ice cream. As if it could get any worse- the ice cream pint was obviously thawed and re-frozen and potentially unsealed. There were ice crystals /frost bits along the sides of the pint, and it looked like the pint had melted and re-froze to the sides. It didn’t taste right, further proving the ice cream was not maintained at all food safe temperature. We brought it back immediately tonight and got a refund, despite the employee offering an exchange which he obviously knew was embarrassing – he took one look and didn’t ask anything else. After two days of disgust, I only believe people still eat here because of the “Oklahoma tradition”. Which is an embarrassment to the entire state.
The only reason I gave 4 stars, and not 5 is; I had a friend with me and we both ordered the same thing: a combo double 1/4 pound burger with cheese. This is not what we received. My friend had eaten a quarter of his burger, and I had taken one bite, and I realized that I had one small patty with a slice of cheese. I went to the counter with burger in hand and explained that this is not what I had ordered. The response was “that’s what you paid for. ” I responded “this is not what I ordered.” After waiting 5 more minutes, I was handed two small patties, one for each burger, no cheese, just two patties in a to go box. I was willing to pay the difference in exchange for my original order. I wasn’t given the opportunity. I belive if I were given the opportunity to speak freely, there would have been a different outcome. The manager solved the issue without any input from me.
There was a long hair hanging from inside and outside of my strawberry shake. I didn’t realize it until grandson picked up cup to get a drink. They made me a new one but I couldn’t drink it?.. I had lost my appetite for the shake and I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t just purchase 1 banana for my grandson?… I didn’t want the whole bunch. Anyway that location hasn’t been the best for me.
This store is only filing these comes to the top back rim of the cone no Frozen Yogurt above the back edge of the cone except maybe the Swirl. Today I took a picture of the Cone represented on the Drive-by Order Screen showing what it is supposed to look like. The Young man stood there with the Cone in his hand barely to the top back edge. I showed him the picture representing the Cone on Drive By menu.. I said this is what you are advertising this is what I want .He held up the barely filled cone and ask if I wanted it, I told him No, I was Contacting Corporate. This was not because he was a new employee. Many times at this windows I have been told “They don’t want us to fill them any higher then this. Top of back edge of the cone.
I will check this location again, Next trip unless it is the cone represented on your menu I will take a picture of the employee holding this cone and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Maybe even the Oklahoma Attorney General.
I complained a few weeks ago about the Braums on 29th and Harrah Rd doing the same thing.
This is not an isolated practice. If these employees are being told to barely fill these cones you need to reflect this pitiful thing on your order Sign.
Shawnee and a Tecumseh are filling their cones as represented on the order menu.
Check your receipts every time and Report theft.
When a Braums employee at any location adds stuff to your receipt and you don’t get what you paid for, that is them stealing from you. This time, you guys have been reported to corporate.
