Proudly Serving Those Who Serve, we honor and give back to our Uniformed American Heroes—Police, Fire, First Responders and our Military. *Mission BBQ is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! The real smoked country cooking is authentic and flavorful, and the prices are very good—much more affordable than other smokehouses I’ve visited. The customer service was amazing from start to finish, and I was so impressed by how outstandingly clean the entire restaurant was. A huge bonus is having a full selection of sauces right on the table so you can try them all! Beyond the food, the decor is incredibly inspiring; the walls are covered in patches from military, police, and firefighters from all over the USA. It’s a wonderful tribute to our service members and creates such a meaningful atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by! Oh did I forget to mention they have a Salute at 12pm everyday so come join!!

Our 1st visit to Mission BBQ was beyond expectations! Super friendly as soon as we walked in and helpful with the menu options. The food was hot and delicious. We enjoyed all the different sauces. A manager greeted us after we finished eating and when I mentioned that it was our 1st visit she immediately offered us each a dessert. The caramel apple cobbler was a perfect way to end our meal. She also gave us free sandwich tickets. We can’t wait to go back!

The SMOKED RIBEYE OMFG ….at Mission BBQ is hands-down the BEST steak I’ve ever had. Huge portion, perfectly smoked, super tender, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was juicy and delicious. Absolutely the best ribeye anywhere — Mission BBQ nailed it!

Mission BBQ is seriously one of the best restaurants you can go in Onslow County! The food is absolutely delicious every time, the service is impeccable, and it is a meal you feel good about. The service here is absolutely astounding, you are a friend and valued guest here! Crystal was extremely attentive and made the experience absolutely exceptional! I personally love the ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. My husband eats the brisket without sauce because it is so flavorful on its own! Also, the cheesy potatoes are a favorite of mine! If there is ever a question, comment, or concern the staff is ready, willing, and happy to help! My recent experience with Crystal was so incredible it has sparked me to write this review and share just how amazing Mission BBQ and the Jacksonville, NC location are!

Such a nice place to enjoy some great food. Menu is very expansive, from pulled chicken, pulled pork, brisket, turkey, burgers, fries, coleslaw, cornbread and more. Large dining room. Relaxed environment. Staff is so nice. There’s usually a staff member that comes around to all the tables to see if you need anything & they are super helpful. Recommend.

I’ve watched a good amount of videos of foreigners eating REAL barbecue and I had to order some to see if those reactions are real. I’ve ordered food from the Mission in Jacksonville and Wilmington and the staff at both establishments were being awesome. Both places were exceptionally clean and well lit both inside and out. They were very patient and’s courteous to a first timer. I’m not too fond of the cornbread but their green beans are top tier. I purchased the jumbo loaded baked potato, I’m not sure why I was surprised to find out that the potato was smoked but it was a great surprise. The amount of food you get is worth more than what you pay. I DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone wanting great bbq.
