Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya (Northgate)

  4.5 – 2,413 reviews   • Ramen restaurant

Social Profile:

Kizuki Ramen’s philosophy is to serve the most traditional, authentic and delicious Japanese ramen that you can possibly have without actually flying to Japan. Kizuki’s food is still prepared the same way as it is in Japan; utilizing an unique method of roasting bones before boiling. Similar to the French style of making consomme, they were the first in the Japanese ramen industry to employ this method. The result is a rich, flavorful broth that is fragrant, and full of depth. Devoted to replicating the incredible flavor of traditional Japanese ramen, if equal substitutes for ingredients are not found within the country, Kizuki Ramen imports the ingredients directly from Japan.

Hip venue serving Japanese noodle soups & small plates, plus whiskey, sake & beer amid artful decor.

The food here is delicious! I always love their potato croquettes and vegetable gyoza, but not a fan of their veggie ramen. My only issue is that I wish there were more veggie options for main dishes since there’s only one veggie ramen. However, I’m always surprised at how many vegetarian options they have for their Izakaya section.

Always had great service here, very friendly staff that check in well

Absolutely amazing experience!!! Food tastes amazing, servers are kind, they offer free clear unsalted broth if you want to balance the flavor of your broth, and a free lemonade or flavored tea for leaving a review! Prices also are not too expensive! Only thing is I wish they checked in on me once or twice more than they did. This is because I can be quiet shy and I did have to get a waiters attention because they were already busy with other work. Also, to be fair they did have almost a full house! All in all I would still rate them an absolute 9/10! I got the garlic tonkotsu shoyu ramen with spinach, roasted seaweed, fishcake, and pork belly added to the already topped ramen! This is coming from someone who sometimes can have sort of high standards. 🙂

For the category, convenience, taste and service, I would recommend if you are near Northgate. I’d say without question this is a solid place that is consistent with welcoming service and food quality.

As in all reviews, subjectivity is in the eye of the writer but based on my travels, I’d say other than Japan or going upscale you can’t go wrong here.

Very good place.
I don’t have ramen frequently enough but I found the dishes here very tasty.
The soup was flavorful and I feel I got a pretty good portion for the price. The menu had several appetizing options and I look forward to trying more. The sides we picked up were quite good too.
The service was nice and quick. I wasn’t very busy and we were able to get a table right away. There’s indoor and outdoor seating available.
It made a good first impression and I look forward to going back.

We love this place! Garlic tonkatsu ramen is my favorite dish here. Servings of ramen are great and we don’t usually need additional food.

There is a kid a menu on a coloring page, booster seats, high chairs, and plastic utensils for kids. I would say they’re child friendly! Not sure if they have a changing table, as we didn’t need to use it.

The garlic tonkatsu is always delicious. I ordered Gisa Karaage for an appetizer which was delicious. Unfortunately they were out of green mango tea. Overall a good dining experience!

We had an enjoyable experience! I had the most popular dish which was a rich and salty broth. My wife enjoyed the dipping Ramen, which had a more pungent broth. Their noodles were good, but didn’t stand out as much as we had hoped. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

Great little spot that really brings great food and great service.
A bit on the pricey side compared to other ramen joints offering a similar selection of foods and also with likeness of what can be expected in Japan.

The portions were smaller compared to some, but fulfilling.

I ordered the Garlic Tonkatsu with pork belly add on.
Great brother and noodles were just as good. The noodles had that feeling they were handmade or of high quality.
Flavor is packed and I added some spicy flakes for that nice kick.

Wifey had the veggie ramen and enjoyed it too.

Didn’t get to try the Takoyaki…but I’d guess it would be good. For the price they charge for it…it better. Didn’t feel like splurging for those this visit…but next time for sure.

All in all…its nice. Next time I’d like to sit on the covered patio to enjoy my meal with fresh air…

Absolutely the best Ramen in the Seattle, hands down! First off, wonderful staff, from the moment we walked in the door and were greeted, to being able to choose a table we loved, to the very detailed menu that was epic and the extra choices, appetizers and delicious broth, this was a wonderful place to enjoy one of our favorite meals. We had leftovers and ended up enjoying them the next morning for breakfast. Truly a fantastic place to get Ramen from the decor, seating, style, food options, well seasoned broth, its just the top for Ramen, I’d rank it the best in Seattle for sure!
