I recently visited for the first time on which was Mothers Day. I must say from start to finish we had a excellent server . He even opened the door for my Mom who was in a wheelchair. This means a lot in service. I had the crawfish etoffee and my Mom had wrapped bacon on cheddar grits. Excellent!!! I will come back. Food averages 12-15 per plate with generous portions. My hats off to this great Cajun eatery in Friendswood. Way to go guys , I had a memorable dinner with my 88 year old Mom.

Food was very good, the atmosphere is a very good to watch sports. I would recommend and I will come back. We had fish and shrimp with bean and rice along with green beans. We also had chicken and sausage gumbo, both were spot on.

I had never heard of this place before. If you are reading this, you wont be disappointed. I’ve been there twice in the past couple of weeks. Both times they were super slow. Second time my husband and I were the only ones in the place. I was speaking to the waitress who said they had just opened up like 2 months before the pandemic hit. Just like every other eatery they had to shut down until opening back up just recently. I feel bad for them because of that. They definitely have not had a fair chance for the community to get a taste of their awesome food. Please go and check this place out.

Alaina was our server on our last two visits and me and the hubbs love her playful attitude!
I hope I spelled that correctly.
She can match wits with either one of us and never skip a beat!
The food has always been fresh, hot, served on real plates and never in a plastic basket like at Brand X restaurant on Bay Area where we ate before for the same price and only half the amount of food.
At Lowens you really get good size peices of fish not strips, they should actually call the hushpuppies Shut Up Dogs they are so big.Brand X should call theirs shhhhh pups because they are tiny.
I could go on forever on differences but trust me your going to want to experience this all for yourself.
Dont forget to ensure a quality visit and ask for Alaina, we also had Victoria serve us before.
Both are great sports and let the Hubbs call them Karen!
I hope this is our new Friday night dinner spot for a long time.

Blown away on how good the food was and how much you get for the price… My wife and I stopped here for our anniversary rather than traveling to Galveston as usual. I am extremely glad we decided to go here. Not only was the food extremely good the service was just as good. The waitress was extremely attentive to us the whole time. The food was fresh not frozen, 10x better than Floyd’s or where we would have normally gone in Galveston. Also the prices are very reasonable and you get a good amount of food. Will definitely be a regular here!

We really enjoyed our meal tonight. I had red beans and rice with grilled shrimp added. My wife had shrimp and grits. We started with the combo deviled eggs with oysters and blackened shrimp. The texture and flavors were all great. A little spice and heat, but not too much. The only suggestion to improve the experience would be to expand the wine selections.
We will return abd it will have to include blackened shrimp and fried oysters. Both were excellent!!

First time there and went based on recommendations. Locally owned and operated. Clean. Nice atmosphere and quiet. Friendly staff… Joanna was very attentive.
They have a bar you can sit at if you want (or tables). They serve beer and wine and have a fairly extensive array. No drink menu but they are knowledgeable about what they have. Priced well.
Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Had the crab legs and they were seasoned well, peeled easily, plentiful for what we paid. Gumbo and Po boy was great.
We will definitely be back! Love this little neighborhood gem.

Amazing food and service. We will definitely be back. I had the crab legs and the flavor was awesome with a little Cajun kick. DH had blackened shrimp and kept talking about how good they were. The twice baked Cajun potatoes were wonderful. Highly recommend.

Cody has the very successful Center Court pizza next door so I expected a lot from this new business. I’m disappointed with some things but hopeful that they will be corrected over time.
The service was terrible. There were 4 of us in the party and all of the food come out one person at a time. I waited for my gumbo and finally cancelled the order. The hostess was helping deliver food and had no idea what the difference was between the gumbo types. The housing was pretty good. The Cajun roasted redskin potatoes were great. The wedge salad is big enough for two people, but get the dressing on the side. We might give it another try sometime down the road. The restaurant business is too competitive to just be average.
