My and my girlfriend went to the Leawood location. We both ordered soup and salad (quick lunch right)? We got our soup and they picked up our dishes. We sat there for at least 20 minutes, maybe longer. Long enough that the table next to us got seated. Got their salad. Ate it. And was brought the check. First the waitress came to us and said I’m going to check on your soup and see what is taking so long. We said we already got our soup. She said oh yeah right. Maybe 5-10 minutes later our salad comes out. The waitress asked if we needed anything else. I said yes, we need to have something comped this took a long time and the table next to us got their food before us (which was a salad as well). No apology. She proceeded to explain why our salad took longer??? I had a chicken salad and my girlfriend had a salmon salad. Longer maybe – 30+minutes? Unacceptable. By this time the manager came over. He wasn’t overly helpful or concerned. I explained the scenario and said I also work in hospitality. He said he would take the salad off and also explained “why” our salad took a long time. I immediately asked for a box (because I could not eat the salad as I lost my appetite). If hospitality is not your specialty, you should not be a server.

I’ve just been to burger heaven!
Came here because I am dogsitting out of town and I was craving a solid burger so badly. Mickey D’s wasn’t going to cut it. Considering most fast food joints are selling meals for $12, Houlihan’s burger meal was incredibly reasonable for pricing at less $20 before tip. (Yes, I tip on takeout, please take note, it does take time that they could otherwise be tipped on.)
I showed up at least ten minutes before my order said it would be ready and I was greeted almost immediately. She checked on my order right away and told me it would be a few minutes, which it was. She handed it to me and I was on my way.
Opening the bag, I noticed they packed utensils even though I forgot to check the box for them, considering I got mac and cheese instead of fries. Super nice. I write this having not even eaten or seen the mac and cheese yet and not having any photos of this excellent burger. I ordered it medium well even though I get my steaks medium rare, because I like my burgers a little crispy. It was perfectly cooked.
My only complaint was that it didn’t come with any condiments, but thankfully the place I was sitting had some. With that, I just had probably one of the best burgers of my life. The burger was thick and juicy, with crispy edges, but online allows you to pick any type of doneness for your burger if you like something else.
Highly recommend this place if you want a solid meal for not much more than the cost of the drive thru!
Update: Just had the mac and cheese and it’s okay. The presentation is great and it stayed warm through the drive here, me eating the burger, and writing this review before even seeing it. My only complaint is that it’s not very well seasoned and tastes somewhat plain compared to what I prefer. But I’m keeping the five stars for 100% nailing my burger craving and I’m hoping to try the fries next time!

The server was nice,full of energy, and even though she had a 12top she still took very good care of us,I didn’t like the 5oz salmon for 19.00 but that was on me ,I didn’t read the menu good enough..salmon was really small,but overall food was good.

Really disappointed with our time here. Came for V-Day and had a reservation at 4pm. There were open booths everywhere and the hostess decided to seat us at a bar top. Bar area is walk-in and free seating mind you. I immediately asked the host to seat us in the dining area. We walked past all the open intimate booths and were sat at the back at what looked and felt like overflow seating (4 person table) with very hard chairs. We sat and I’m realizing this is not ok. I asked once again to be moved to a booth, since we had a reservation. We went past all the better booths and were sat right next to the kitchen area entrance. Again…what?
Our server was great, however, 30 mins past and I had to ask for our appetizer and it was immediately brought out and cold. The food was subpar. Steak was dry. Veggies were sparse and without seasoning. Overpriced food without flavoring.
Just very disappointing all the way around for Valentine’s Day.

Food was delicious but the portions were quite smaller than I remembered. I love Houlihans specifically for the crunchy spicy cauliflower. We were asked if we wanted to smaller happy hour size or the full regular size. We said the full bigger size for the table and the portion was smaller than when I last went and was a little disappointed. Other than that it was delicious. The brighter picture is the portion we just got, the other is the old portions we would get that were better.

I haven’t been to Houlihans since I lived in STL 10 years ago. We went on Christmas not wanting to cook and WOW!
Even better than I remmebered. The food was excellent, and hats off to our waitress, TAYLOR!
Taylor was so bubbly, friendly, with exceptional skill (it’s not easy being a waitress ensuring everyone is happy especially juggling more than one large group at a time!) Great job, Taylor!

Service was great thank you Michael C .food was prompt. Fresh, and hot. We ordered small shrooms. Very good crispy, creamy cream cheese , and they are large. Wings lemon pepper I could taste lemon but not pepper. Loved crispy . Chicken strips crispy nice butter flavor. Prices very reasonable. Loved patio seating also Very Comfortable Seating.
