As a former employee for years and eaten there for years after, this was by far the best upgrade! Food, service, experience 10/10. One server would do the whole experience from start to finish now there’s teamwork! Once your order is in, someone is bringing the drinks and bread, someone brought the salad, new person with apps, new person with refills, new person brought out the food, server checked in all throughout! And the food was really good! Start to finish! Bone in ribeye and newyork strip cooked to perfection! Great job!
Today, my first day off after eight straight 12-14 hour shifts, I decided to treat myself to lunch and use that $10. I placed a takeout order, only one entrée, I figured there was no way they’d mess it up with only two cars in the parking lot. I got home and realized my baked potato was missing. My fault for not checking, but still disappointing. I called, and the manager’s response was simply, “Would you like to come back and get it?” No apology, no empathy. I didn’t pay $40 for nothing, so of course I drove back, wasting more of my time and gas. When I got there, I received an old, dry potato and 2 cards asking me to download their app.
Having worked in the food industry for over two decades, now managing food & beverage in hotels for the past five years, I can say this situation was handled completely wrong. It’s clear this restaurant is not being managed efficiently. There’s no excuse for these repeated mistakes, especially with an empty dining room, and management’s lack of concern says even more.
I haven’t eaten here in over a decade but decided to give it another chance, twice in one week and both experiences were terrible. I can only hope someone who reads this actually cares enough to address the training and systems that desperately need attention. When you know better, you do better.
Safe to say I won’t be trying again.
Only positive thing I can say is my side of mac n cheese was good.
