At no fault of the seller (real estate agents will get it), I found myself at Bull Street Taco to kick off the week. I settled in with a cold libation—or two—alongside some homemade chips and salsa and a chorizo bowl.
Now, I’ve always been a critic of places that charge for chips and salsa. That said, these were crispy, fresh, and with just the right kick to start things off.
The chorizo bowl hit the spot: flavorful rice, hearty beans, and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg that tied everything together. It made for the ideal early-bird dinner.
Margaritas are just $5 all day on Mondays—a deal that’s hard to beat. I had one… And if you’re already planning your next visit, their Taco Tuesday happy hour menu is one to look forward to. The bartender was personable and wealth of knowledge. I wish he’d given me his name. — eating dinner at Bull Street Taco.
The tacos I got were the chicken, the chum, and the fish taco, and the cucumber salad side.
I liked all the tacos maybe the fish and chicken above the chum. The chum is a favorite but I didn’t think the flavor was anything special. Overall though everything was good
The service was great. She was efficient and welcoming. But the food was not good this evening. The carnitas taco was WAY too salty, as in not edible. But it wasn’t just the carnitas tacos – it was all of them with meat – chicken as well. I can’t understand why the kitchen feels the need to over-salt food. All of us felt strongly that it was way too salty, even the grandkids.
The loaded guacamole was too oily and portion size has no obviously been reduced as compared to our many previous visits.
We probably won’t be back which sucks because we used to love this place.
The food was nothing to write home about, with the three different tacos having a slight burnt aftertaste and didn’t have much flavour otherwise. The chorizo bowl was alright, but I didn’t even eat half. Our margaritas weren’t very tasty and were watery. We didn’t drink them all and I never leave a margarita. Staff were friendly, but we came for the food, and are unlikely to return.
