The crab Rangoon was not it though. It was really crunchy which is good but the inside lacked the cream cheese filling. It was like eating basically the shell.
I tried the dragon roll, snow crunchy roll, red snapper roll, and rainbow roll. My favorite was the dragon roll and snow crunchy roll. They were full of flavor and their rolls aren’t too overly stuffed they were small and came with 8 pieces.. I liked that they were easy to eat.
The service was ok I wish there was an easier way to get the servers attention. There were times where I wanted to order more but the server was elsewhere. It didn’t even seem busy but the place is so spacious that maybe it’s hard to check on customers?
They have dessert too but I did not try any.
Taste-wise, everything was good. I personally liked the Rock n Roll the most — it felt more natural and balanced in flavor. The Dynamite Roll was also enjoyable, though both had a slightly “street-style” fusion taste compared to more traditional sushi spots.
One small thing I noticed — at some sushi restaurants, they serve complimentary appetizers when you sit down. That wasn’t the case here; everything is strictly order-based. Not a complaint, just a personal observation.
The staff were good and helpful in guiding us with roll selection. The person assisting us seemed a bit introverted and not very talkative, but he was polite and did his job well.
Overall, it was a good experience. The place itself is nice, portions are big, and the sushi tastes good.
The AYCE menu is pretty generous: appetizers, soups, salads, hibachi noodles and rice, hand rolls, plus raw, cooked, and fried rolls.
We started with appetizers; squid salad, edamame, shrimp skewers, and crab salad. Honestly, we liked them all, but the fried yellowtail stood out as a favorite.
The hand rolls were well‑made and packed with salmon. We tried the spicy salmon, salmon avocado, and Philadelphia rolls, and all three were tasty.
Some of the other rolls were more average.
– Raw: Tiger Eye, Fuego
– Cooked: Mango
– Fried: Boom Boom
Not bad, but nothing that really wowed us.
For dessert, we went with the cheesecake tempura. It was greasy, but still delicious.
The service was excellent. The staff was super sweet and attentive, checking in every few minutes to make sure we had everything we needed. They even let us share rolls while both staying on the AYCE menu, which was a nice touch.
Overall, the food ranged from good to very good, though nothing felt truly exceptional. Still, the atmosphere was chill, the price was fair, and the service made the experience. We’d definitely come back, especially with a group, it feels like the kind of place that’s even more fun with friends.
One of the star is for the server and the other is from the fact that they at least serve sashimi. Do I like them at all? Hard No…
It was shocking that this place has 4.9 rate Houstonians… you guys gotta do better
