A bit disappointed with Parish on Cherry. The food was average or below at best. I’m not a discriminating eater, but everthing seemed over salted. My wife stated that her Red Beans & Rice was tasteless. She didn’t even finish her small cup. I had the Po Boy fried oyster sandwich. It was pretty good. The best item was the fries. These maybe the best fries I’ve had in a long time. Everyone agreed that the hushpuppies were not tasty at all.

Our server must have been new or inexperienced. Several times we had to ask twice for something. Very nice guy, and he seemed to be trying very hard. We are a very laid back group, and as such we gave him a lot of slack.

The most disturbing thing that we experienced was the way our drinking glasse were handled something I’ve never experienced before. When our glasses of water needed refilling the waiter would grab up all the mug style glasses and take them back to refill them. The rims on the glasses were touching and we were certainly not sure that the glass returned to us was our glass. Water should be refilled at the table, or fresh glasses brought out to the table.

One person in our party was served warm beer. The manager replaced his beer with a substitute because the beer he wanted could not be served cold at the time. Another person in our group ordered a Blue Moon beer, but she was informed that they were out. A third person ordered one of Parish’s signature cocktails. but they lacked some of the ingredients to make this drink.

Eat inside if possible. Traffic noise was pretty bad. Lots of motorcycles with loud pipes. Not Parish’s fault, but we would have eaten inside if we had known that.

I might stop in for just fries next time, but nothing else.

We were blown away by the food! Ordered the shrimp and grits and the shrimp po boy with red beans and rice. They also had a decent NA beer selection and were very accommodating to our dog out on the patio. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a New Orlean style cuisine in the middle Georgia area stop into Parish on Cherry. They have an excellent staff and the ambiance is comforting and welcoming. My favorite combination gator bites and mussels. Now we can’t forget my cocktail of choice which is the “Hurricane”

If you are in the downtown area please stop in and check them out.

Let me just say Parish on Cherry was amazing! From start to finish, everyone was so nice and attentive. We had a party of 16, and they handled it perfectly! They had two servers,a host, and even the manager came over to introduce herself and make sure we had everything we needed. They ensure that our needs were taken care of they were very attentive! Prior to my lunch I have never been here and let me just say I made the right decision.

With a group our size and everyone ordering at different times they still managed everything smoothly. I was so impressed with the service! They even had another large party after us, but they never rushed us. The table was set up beautifully, we had plenty of room, and the food was absolutely delicious!

If you’re planning a group dinner or event book with Parish on Cherry! You won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back! ️✨

I very much enjoyed seeing the new remodel at Parish on Sunday. I love their crawfish gumbo.

I didn’t realize they do brunch until 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Parish will be destination during the next time friends visit from out of town. I’ll be back even sooner for their brunch shrimp and grits (cheese grits) which are an absolute favorite.

The remodel maintains coziness, yet with an upgrade of elegance.
(Staff members were great too – everyone from the hostess to the bar – as well as everyone we met in passing).

I have to say most restaurants you come in right before they are closed and in some way the quality or service is normally off but not this place. Service was friendly and ready to serve. The food…. Wonderful. Even 30min before closing everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Everything was seasoned very well and made us excited to come back for brunch. Thank you to the staff front and back of house!

Honestly a HUGE disappointment after being excited to go on Valentine’s Day. We were excited to find a place serving what we thought would be good New Orleans style food. We made reservations for Valentine’s Day dinner for myself and husband and my teenage son and his girlfriend. The restaurant it’s self was very nice, clean, and not too loud even being full of people. We ordered Seafood Dip and Fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The dip was ok we left about 2/3 of it untouched and the tomatoes were fine just not real crispy. Our main courses were 2 Cajun pastas (1 chicken 1 seafood) 1 chicken jambalaya with a side of fries and a chicken tenders. My son said the tenders were fine but small the fries are seriously the fries you get from Checkers. My husband and I both agreed the jambalaya was anything but jambalaya. It tasted just like a chicken and rice dish you would get at a Chinese takeout. I sent my pasta back. It was watery with zero flavor. My son’s girlfriend was too embarrassed to send her’s back but said it was very bland. We skipped ordering dessert because we were sure they would be bland as well and after spending $123 I was done spending hard earned money on flavorless and food. I should have made reservations at the Waffle House at least we would have been able to eat.

We’ve been going to Parish since I moved here two years ago but just recently had dinner after their renovations and were blown away!! The crew did such an amazing job creating a comfortable, upscale vibe. We absolutely LOVE new drink and food menu! I am a gin fanatic and there are three to choose from! The Lavender & Lemon is a must try! We also had the new gator bites, po boy sandwich and garlic butter baked oysters. Everything was outstanding! Can’t wait to come back and try the other new menu items!
