Laid-back Japanese restaurant specializing in pork & chicken stock soups with hand-rolled noodles.

Went by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything went. Even though the restaurant was fairly busy with about four parties ahead of us, we were seated quickly – right around a 10-minute wait, which felt very reasonable for the lunch rush.
I ordered the miso ramen with a side of rice. The broth was creamy, rich, and full of flavor, with a nice balance of spice that didn’t overpower the dish. While I’ve definitely had ramen elsewhere that stood out a bit more, this was still a solid, enjoyable bowl and very satisfying overall. The portion size was good, and the rice was a nice addition to round out the meal.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit – even though we were talking with friends. Despite how busy it was, the food came out quickly and everything felt well organized. It’s always a good sign when a place can handle a crowd without feeling chaotic or rushed.
Overall, it was a positive experience and a reliable option for ramen if you’re in the area. I’d recommend giving it a try if you get the chance. Parking is convenient and shared with the Uwajimaya lot, which makes stopping in even easier.

Stopped by for lunch – even though it was busy with about four parties ahead of us, we were seated quickly….within 10 minutes. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with a side of rice. The broth was creamy and flavorful and while I’ve had better ramen, overall, it was still a solid bowl. The staff were friendly, and the food came out quickly despite the crowd. If you get the chance, I’d recommend giving this place a try. The parking lot is shared with Uwajimaia

Was a rainy day so a perfect day for ramen. I got the deluxe ryoma ramen with miso, added corn, and gluten free noodles with the premium house hot sake called “Demon slayer” Both were delicious and I got full pretty fast. Ryoma ramen is off to the right of the main entrance of the grocery store and u use the same parking lot. It’s small and steadily busy but there was no wait for us.

Best ramen place ever, great, fast, and kind service. The killer spicy ramen is my absolute favorite with a burst of spicy flavors that match no other ramen, spicy enough and so enjoyable at the same time. Their menu is simple and not full of options that overwhelm you. I love this place a lot that I became a regular customer.

My partner and I had early lunch here last Saturday. It was only 11:10AM, but this restaurant was already packed with people. It’s been a while since we last visited here, but the shio ramen was as good as I remembered. I really like their thick noodles, but I personally like Kizuki Ramen’s broth better. The servers were friendly, especially Chiho-san. She was moving around and was talking to the customers with a smile. This restaurant was clean and did not see any flies.

Cheap and delicious ramen – my favorite on the west side of Portland. Ramen is their main focus and they truly excel at it. The food also comes out lightning fast. Ramen Ryoma is a great option if you’re looking for quick comfort food on a budget.

I got the ryoma deluxe ramen with miso base, and my partner got the black garlic miso based. The broth was delicious, the ramen noodle was a satisfying texture to it. Egg is a bit flavorless and cold, same with chashu but still good texture and delicious nonetheless. Overall very similar to ramen I’ve tried in Japan, great comfort food for a rainy day

Ever since our last trip to Japan at the end of 2024, we have been trying to find a place that would replicate the Ramen we had in Japan. Now I know coming back from Japan my standards are a bit higher. Ramen Ryoma was suggested to us by one of our friends, I put it on my list to try.
The atmosphere was very similar to some of the Ramen places we had visited in Japan, the staff were very friendly, greeted us in Japanese and we were seated.
I had ordered the Deluxe Ramen Ryoma in Shiyo with extra noodles, and my wife had the cream of butter Ramen. When the Ramen came to our table, the first thing we did was to taste the broth, wow, you can tell the difference in the care they put into their broth, we were so excited to dig in. The firmness of the noodles were to my liking, the fat pieces of Char Siu with the intertwining that was amazing, each slur took me back to Japan.
So if you’re looking for a great place to experience some great Ramen had a great price highly recommend this place. We will definitely be going back and trying other noodles.

Holy cow they’re amazing! Seriously, my mind was blown by the flavors, the speed of service, the kindness, and the price. This should be your go to lunch ramen spot! Where else can you get a five dollar beer?
