I went for the first time the other day and got a fried grouper po’boy with fries. It was fantastic! The small 6″ was more than enough for me – I could barely finish it (but I did – LOL!). I love the unique “flat fries”! They are so crispy (not hard) and seasoned perfectly. The sandwich was delicious as well. I just wish I had asked for extra remoulade sauce (to go). And the nice lady taking orders was very nice and courteous. Can’t wait to go back!

Every time I go here, I stick with one of their po’ boys with a small side of the fries because the portions are fantastic. I’ve only had the Vegetarian Mushroom and Andouille Sausage Po’ Boys thus far, and their po’ boys are some of the best sandwiches out there. Plus, they have THE best fries I’ve ever had, hands down. Not to mention, absolutely get a slice of the Bourbon-Glazed Bread Pudding – it’s so warm, gooey, and comforting for the soul.

Their remoulade is fantastic as well. The wait for a table/menu/food is a bit slow on busy days but truly because they’re always so swamped – it’s totally understandable! Would recommend coming here to anyone!

OMG…Ahhhhmazing! The king oyster PoBoy is a vegetarian dream! Perfectly seasoned and fried. Dad equally enjoyed the Debris PoBoy (recommended by an ER doc, believe or not). And I do NOT like bread pudding but same dic also recommended the bourbon bread pudding. Absolutely mind-blowing. I will definitely return. And lots of people came in and went down to the bar, so I’ll check that out too. Neat concept in a somewhat unlikely space.

They’re now serving breakfast 7 days a week from 7-11AM in the upstairs original part of the shop. Had a delicious creole honey fried chicken biscuit with egg and cheese and a cup of Jittery Joe’s coffee. Delicious. Next time I’m getting either a breakfast bowl or the Patton’s sausage and egg and cheese biscuit and gonna try the beignets too.

This was our first time here and we like this spot because it has a nice neighborhood chill vibe. Our waitress was completely on point, she didn’t rush us and was super informative and friendly. Prices are fair and I liked my poboy (half shrimp half catfish) and his fries were great! The gumbo was pretty good but we thought it needed a little salt. We both will return to play darts or shoot pool and maybe drink from the shooter/shot menu $4 or $5 ! The only disappointment was the little burger, (Peyton did say it was small ‍♀️)

I am a breakfast gal. I would rather have breakfast for any meal. Their breakfast is not to be missed! My favorite is the breakfast bowl and you can DIY. The beignets could be confused for Cafe du Monde, without the wait and noise! Don’t skip this. 7 am – 11 am daily!

One of my favorite duck off spots. This place has good food, and better aesthetics. Basement bars are everything. It’s kinda like going behind a secret door. You can stay upstairs and eat, or you can come down the stairs to a well lit room with string lights, long wooden bar tables, pool tables (thank the cosmos), dart boards, a few gas station slot machines, and an arcade game with Ms Pac-Man and Gallagher (bonus points). A local townie bar with a comfortable feel and a touch of nostalgia. Again, the food isn’t praiseworthy, but their flagship item (the po’ boy) will satisfy you. There’s even a lil smokin’ section out the back exit downstairs (extra bonus points). Good mixed crowd… no bullshit going on… open ’til 2 AM everyday. Vibes. If they could find a way to make room for live bands or a DJ to play music; it would be just about PERFECT. Give them a try.

Phenomenal service, and incredible staff. Haven’t had alligator in atleast 7 years because I simply couldn’t find anywhere that sells it and y’all knocked it out of the park. It was juicy and the breading had that perfect crunch that even most chain restaurants could only dream of, bread was fresh aswell as the toppings and sauce was perfect to boot.
Will definitely be back!!

A whole hidden underground late night community downstairs in the basement. Glad to see a restaurant with a kitchen open past 10 pm on a Friday night.

I wanted to try the catfish, but I didn’t want a large platter and no ability to substitute a side for the slaw. The basket options are limited to only 3 proteins. I wound up getting the blackened catfish tacos, which came with chips & salsa. The chips were fresh and not overly salted. The salsa was a good mild-medium heat. The blackened catfish was great, but wish I had it by itself and without the toppings. I also had the shrimp/corn/andouille sausage chowder. Not sure if it was because it was so late that I got the remainder from the bottom of the pot, but there were maybe 10 kernels of corn, 4 shrimp, and no sausage. It wasn’t a thick, creamy chowder. It was more like a watery roux. It did come with a couple packs of crackers.

The seating is mainly community high top tables. They have a pool table and a couple dart machines.

The servers didn’t seem to come around very often and it took a while to flag someone down to get my check. They were polite to interact with when they came by.

Very fun, busy bar with great food and drinks!. They offer a menu with New Orleans flare. The jalapeño hushpuppies are delicious! So happy to find a place that offers a good variety cider beer too. The Atl. Had peach cider was a perfect match with the bit of spicey in the food. Had the chicken tender platter and it did not disappoint. Very cool spot that offers take out at the top level and bar/ lounge at the bottom level. Fun and eclectic spot that I will definitely return too!
