Lovely Christmas decorations create a cosy atmosphere. The food is amazing. Just be aware that if you order the whole bream, it needs deboning yourself, and I unfortunately caught a bone in my throat twice. That’s the only reason I’m giving four stars. The fish and chips were very good, the pork shoulder was beautifully cooked, and the chicken was delicious. I would definitely love to come back again. Thanks for the hospitality of the staff.

An exceptional country pub with loads of space and charming alcoves where you can sit with your family (we had our little one-year-old) and feel as though you are in a private space.
Service was first rate – staff very welcoming and attentive.
They have a great selection of drinks – including non alcoholic options for those driving.
I had the cheese burger (pictured) with bacon. It was mouth-wateringly sumptuous!
Definitely recommend this pub set in idyllic rural Cheshire!!

Had a lovely meal at The Swan, food, drinks & service excellent. I had the Steak pie, the pastry was so light it didn’t make you feel like to had a big heavy meal. I also order a side of blue cheese sauce to pour over the pie!! What a game changer this was. Everyone in our party said how nice there food was too. Will definitely return.

We booked for a family lunch and from the initial booking, arrival, dining and after service, the whole experience was absolutely perfect. The grounds and patio area were immaculate, as was the inside dining area. Two guests were disabled but this was no problem- there is a smooth ramp from the car park and the floors are flat with lots of space between tables to manoeuvre wheelchairs etc. The menu had a wide choice of meat, fish, veggie, light bites or full meals. The presentation was insta-worthy master chef level and the flavours just incredible. The atmosphere and service were relaxed and friendly. Very dog friendly too. We are still swooning over our experience days later and will definitely be back. Faultless!

Called here yesterday whist visiting family in Shropshire, it wasn’t particularly busy so we were able to get a table for 4 to have lunch. There was a good selection of beers but a bit pricey at £4.80 a pint for a low Abv bitter. The food was good, but again fairly expensive for what it was. My mother didn’t enjoy her glass of wine, which was on draft, so obviously boxed stuff. I’m led to believe it’s part of a chain, which might explain the lack of attention to detail. When you pay the prices they charge you expect a higher standard.

A really lovely lunch for us 5 , something for all tastes except vegan and limited veggie options but very delicious food . Great service too . Good range of drinks as well as good coffee and zero alcohol beers and drinks. Will definitely come back . Restaurant/ pub very clean and nicely decorated. Loos extremely clean and smart which is always a great thing .

Highly recommend the veggie roast. As someone that often doesn’t eat meat, roast dinners can be really disappointing. However the Swans version was great! The mushroom and kale wellington was beautifully cooked. And I don’t know what they did to that kale but man it was delicious. There was so many nice veggies served with the pie, as well as a cauliflower cheese to share as a side. The place had a really lovely atmosphere and the staff were attentive and friendly.

This English Pub Is modern, inviting and filled with paintings photos memorabilia and books making it stand apart from other pubs.
The food is tasteful, and offers selected items. Not the usual run of the mill cuisine. Besides, it also serves vegan, gluten free options too. Above all, it’s dog friendly!!
And don’t forget it’s a Pub, so the drinks are all that you would wish for!
The ambience is warm and friendly. The staff are polite courteous and accommodating too. They created a combo for me (not on their menu), knowing I was a tourist! Left a good feeling in me!!
Do visit it! You’ll love the ambience !

Loved this place for a small family gathering. Staff were brilliant, friendly and present, but not in your face. Very well informed about the gorgeous sounding menu. We had Korean belly pork starters, followed by fish and chips, steak, sea bream and a couple of soups and sandwiches. The tastes were amazing, presentation wonderful but it all just wasn’t hot enough. The soups were taken back and warmed up without fuss and we didnt bother with the remaining food as it would have delayed our meal. The server was most apologetic when we informed her and vowed to discuss this with the kitchen staff.
Would definitely return, if in the area again.

Lovely little gastropub, we booked in advance for a Sunday evening meal but it was fairly quiet upon our 7:45pm arrival that we found we didn’t need to. We both decided on the roast dinner for main, was toying with getting a starter but decided against, I’m glad I did as the portion was very generous! Had a great selection of beers and wines too. Will definitely return if we are in the area.
