We have been dining at Anthony’s Runway 84 for many years, and it remains one of our favorite restaurants. It is our go-to spot whether we are bringing friends in from out of town or enjoying a night out with locals. There truly is nothing else like it.

The ambiance is iconic. The old-school glamour, dim lighting, live music, and constant energy make the entire space feel alive. One of our favorite touches is the singer who moves throughout the dining room, stopping to sing directly to guests. It creates a fun, memorable experience and adds to the unmistakable Runway 84 charm. The food and drinks are consistently excellent. Everything feels classic, indulgent, and exactly what you expect from a place that knows its identity and executes it well.

It is always busy, and that is part of the experience. The bar area can be very crowded before dinner with limited standing room, and the noise level can make conversation challenging at times. There is often a long wait even with a reservation.

A huge reason for that is the service. The wait staff is truly exceptional. Massimo is an incredible waiter. After serving us once, he remembered us and has treated us like family ever since. His attention, warmth, and professionalism make every visit better. Most recently, we had John as our waiter, (Massimo was off) and he was equally outstanding. He was attentive, efficient, and completely on top of everything, with great support from the rest of the staff.

Anthony’s Runway 84 is not just a restaurant. It is an experience. It is lively, energetic, and unforgettable. We keep coming back for a reason.

I just came from Runway 84 in Fort Lauderdale for my birthday with my mom, and it was such a beautiful experience! We were seated quickly, the food was delicious and came out fast, and the service was truly amazing.

Huge shoutout to Julian, Christian, Toni, Rosalio, and Frank they were all so attentive and made us feel very taken care of.

The live music made the atmosphere romantic and relaxing, which was perfect for a birthday dinner. Everything from start to finish was top-tier. The pistachio cake was my fav ! Thank you guys !

I’ll definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great experience overall. The Christmas decorations were well done and added a festive touch without feeling over the top. It made the atmosphere feel warm and lively while still keeping the restaurant’s classic character.

We had accidentally booked our reservation for the wrong day, and the staff was very accommodating in getting us seated anyway. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally, which we really appreciated.

Service was attentive, the room had great energy, and the night flowed easily from start to finish. Always a solid choice, especially around the holidays.

This is my second time eating here, the first was for my office holiday experience and we had an amazing time. This time felt a little different, the food and atmosphere were excellent, live music, friendly host and support staff; however, our server came across as a bit dry and grumpy. He didn’t offer many recommendations, and we felt somewhat rushed while deciding on drinks and food. The experience improved toward the end of the meal after I made an effort to engage him in conversation.

For example, we ordered the lamb chop dinner for two, which came with a green jello. I assumed it was meant to be paired with the escarole and ate it that way throughout the meal. It wasn’t until near the end that I asked what it was intended to accompany, and he explained it was meant for the lamb chops. This was surprising, as it was the last thing on the plate I would have paired it with. I had mentioned when ordering that I’d never tried escarole before, so some guidance would have been appreciated.

Additionally, there was a dead spider in my glass of water, which I didn’t notice until the end of drinking it. When we kindly pointed it out, the server reacted with a startled “Where?!” and simply replaced the water without an apology. While it didn’t ruin our evening, it felt like an unusual and disappointing response for a restaurant of this caliber.

Despite this, my boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary, and overall we had a wonderful time.

TIP – If you are planning to go, make a reservation on Resy beforehand. I don’t think there are room for walk ins at least not for dinner.

This was the best Italian food that we have had outside of Italy! The building looks like a hanger with a control tower sticking out of the top. We entered and were immersed in holiday decorations and and beautiful 60s club atmosphere with felt booths and live music. Our waiter, Jacob, gave use the best service that we have ever had at a restaurant. It was fine dining with a pleasant personality. The artichoke and calamari appetizers were excellent. The tableside Ceasar salad was was fun to watch and tasted fresh and was rich in flavor. We had veal and chicken vodka with rigatoni pasta. The portions are enough for 3 to 4 people. The flavors were rich and delicious. The chocolate cake was rich and moist and large enough for 3 to 4 people. We will be back the next time we are in town.

I had a b-day dinner here and was so happy with my choice. We were seated in the Cypress Room which is located just past the entrance to the left. I’m grateful for being seated there because we were able to hear each other easily while having enough exposure to the music and were even able to see the band on a TV they have set up.

I got the Beef Braciole which was tender and delicious followed by a decadent tiramisu. Our server Christopher was attentive and thorough but not overly formal which my party really appreciated. The wines are a bit pricey at this establishment, but the total bill was not too bad considering the atmosphere, service, and quality of food. I would happily come back here!

While the staff was friendly, the service fell significantly short of the standard expected for a $250 dinner. Despite arriving on time for our 8:15 PM reservation, we waited over 30 minutes to be seated without an apology or even an offer of water.
We specifically booked the Main Dining Room to enjoy the show and decorations, yet we were placed in a far back corner by the bar where nothing was visible. Service remained reactive rather than proactive; I had to prompt the server for a forgotten wine order 10 minutes after asking, and again, no apology was offered. While the food was delicious and the decor is stunning, the lack of hospitality and poor table management make it hard to recommend. I’d wanted a special romantic evening and instead got a seat with no view, people right next to our table, and poor service. At this price point, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

First time at this long term historic establishment that doesn’t need my review to boost their reputation. It 100% lives up to its bucket list food destination eatery. We started with cocktails, while my friend (and driver) opted for just a red wine, I splurged with the Anejo Old Fashioned, which as the name implied is made with tequila….outstanding!. Our apps consisted of the Eggplant Marino, which if you love eggplant, the way it should be done(razor thin stacks, without that heavy cheese that it mistakenly gets associated with) sign up here….again, outstanding. In addition, we ordered the Shrimp Oreganata, which was also “lights out” delicious. They were so good, we forgot to snap photos of those and btw, we both have huge appetites and we were both approaching full after that. The eggplant even split, is a huge portion and even though relatively light, was very filling. Our entrees (and yes, we over ordered) were: The swordfish and the chicken parm, w vodka sauce (a house specialty) plus we also ordered the paccheri bolognese for “ the table” The portions were so large, we needed up taking half of everything home. All entrees were excellent, especially the chicken parm and bolognese. Will return for a special occasion as the pocketbook was definitely challenged, but that’s what quality at great restaurants costs these days.

Dined in last night and even though we had to wait 30 min past our reservation time to be seated, it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Enrique was amazing and very helpful in choosing items on the menu, the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful and romantic. Extra points for the beautiful decorations and great live band- they chose the best songs to perform. We would definitely go back!

Heard do many wonderful things about this restaurant. The Christmas decorations lived up to the hype for sure.
Food : I had baked clams for appetizer and they were over cooked, you could see by looking at it. I got Chicken parmesan and it was huge. Chicken was tender, but I can’t say it was fabulous.
Pistachio cake was also huge, and it was good but not spectacular.
