We tried the spicy honey chicken biscuit with a fruit cup side, and the fish and chips. Both meals were delicious, came out fast and hot. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us often. Also, very large portions for great prices. We will definitely go back to try some of the things we saw on the menu.

My wife and I stayed in Jacksonville a couple days hanging out with family. We had a flat tire on the way out of town to Savannah and was recommended to this Diner by the tire people “Hot Wheelz Tires”. It was the best recommendation in the world. From the people, the atmosphere to the food it all was simply amazing. If you’re ever in Jacksonville (do not cheat) yourself and please visit this Diner. I recommend the Chicken and Waffles..Bangin

I love visiting local diners, and we found this by the great reviews while in Jacksonville, visiting the mayo clinic. The atomosphere was humming, a steady flow of customers, but our glasses were never empty. The menu was so tempting I wanted to try it all! We loved how the kitchen was open, you could see the chefs working. No one was getting paid to do nothing in this restaurant. Loved the protein bowl and the pancakes smelled delicious. A happening place and a great experience.

What a surprise… I went to the Donna Cancer run, and after that we went to Metro diner.. The food was so great. I just love that they had grits and the grits were the best grits had avocado toast, two eggs over easy and grits. My friends all had something different and everything looked so good. It was delicious. The service was amazing so many people eating their all happy and satisfied. I’m coming on Saturday again 9:30 I’ll be there. And I’m bringing a friend. I just have to tell everybody in the whole wide world how good you guys are thank you.

Parking was challenging to find, as the place is packed and the lot is small. Worth the wait. Wait staff can be a bit slow but they are nice, so be nice and patient.

Stopped in since we got up late, still wanted breakfast, and it was close to the hotel. No doubt we will eat here again during our stay. Great food, reasonable price, very friendly staff!

This used to be our favorite breakfast/lunch spot. Everytime anyone came to town, it was first place we took them. Over last year or so, it’s definitely slipped a lot in quality. Sausage gravy with used to be my husband’s fave/not there’s barely any sausages in it at all.
Today, after being away for a few months, we returned and unfortunately the quality of food hasn’t improved and now there’s a woman who just yells out orders to cooks and service staff. Extremely loudly! It’s really disruptive to entire atmosphere. Super bummed.

Been slacking some on my reviews, and had to make an effort to get this one in as they are very deserving!
My third time here and it’s been on point everytime. Chicken and waffles are by far my favorite, but can only imagine the other items being equally as good! The waffle is soft and fluffy and the strawberry butter is a nice touch. The chicken, how can you cook chicken so much better than everyone else? Lol it’s fried chicken but this is a little cruncher but not a heavy couch. And yet still juicy! A great combo for sure.
The shepherds pie is also amazing and I wish I could make this dish as good as they do. A very hearty and filling dish.
The wait staff are also enteric and have always been extremely pleasant and perfectly timed with everything. ( our food as amazing as it is comes out quick every time!)
Don’t forget to check on the specials! There is always a good deal to be found!
Oh and shot out to the cooks, I made sure to thank them on the way out. Keep up the good work fellas! Appreciate the heck out of you!
