Cheery spot set in 2 quaint redbrick homes dishing up housemade ice cream, sundaes & shakes.

Excellent ice cream shop right in the heart of the historic area. There are a few tables inside which we were very happy about since it was cold outside. The ice cream is excellent! I really liked the Christmas flavors they had, the cocoa flavor tasted like swoss miss powder turned into ice cream with little marshmallows in it. The single scoop was plenty of ice cream for us! Definitely a great stop for dessert and a convenient location.

Mr. G’s Ice Cream is always busy when we walk by. This is our second trip to Gettysburg, and this time we grabbed lunch across the street and stopped over in the early afternoon with no wait. Holy God, this is the best ice cream.
There is also a beautiful witness tree right outside the fenced area. It’s a gorgeous spot with amazing ice cream and even a gift shop, although we didn’t stop in this time. Highly recommend.

5 stars ONLY for great ice cream. My husband and I have visited Mr. G’s ice cream shop many times. We went yesterday, Valentine’s Day and the ice cream was delicious. But the customer service was terrible. ZERO ⭐️ The woman who took our order was miserable and acted as though we were bothering her. She definitely needs training on people skills and dealing with the public. Not even a smile or thank you for the tip we gave. I even watched her treat other customers the same. If you don’t like your job, then don’t work there especially with the public. Mr. G’s, please hire people who have a good personality

Although the lines where long, the wait itself wasn’t long and the ring games they have around distracts you. One scoop in their waffle cone felt like I could hammer nails with it, thing was huge and packed full of ice cream for only ~$5.20 – it’s an amazing deal. The ice cream itself (Salted Caramel) was phenomenal, didn’t expect the junks of brownie throughout which made it an absolute blessing of a treat. 10/10 would go again.

Hands down the BEST ice cream I’ve ever had in my life! We ended up coming back every single night of our trip because we couldn’t stay away. Every flavor is homemade, incredibly creamy, and packed with rich, fresh mix-ins—like actual chunks of cookie dough, ribbons of peanut butter, or crumbles of s’mores. And they don’t skimp on toppings either; every scoop was loaded and full of flavor. The waffle bowls were crisp and delicious, the staff was super friendly, and the whole place had such a charming vibe. If you’re anywhere near Gettysburg, do not miss this place. It’s that good. Rotating flavors too, be sure to check their facebook for their most up to date daily selections!! Also be sure to checkout their gift shop, their Mr.G, Abe Lincoln shirts are iconic !

Great ice cream, fair price, fun staff. Recommend for anyone in the local area, plenty of parking, flavor/serve options are fair quantity!
Across the street allows for the kids to run around in the park type area! Seating is limited so plan on standing to eat ice cream as this place can get busy, lines can get long but that a compliment if anything to the shop.
Biggest downside is the no public bathrooms other than a poorly maintained porta potty, so be aware of that along with lack of sitting area, but not significant of enough item to downgrade the rating, just know going into it.

Amazing service and delicious homemade ice cream in the heart of the action. Great outdoor space to enjoy and watch people. Get the chocolate peanut butter! There’s also a great little souvenir shop around back with fun goodies. Will be back next time we’re in town.

I absolutely love this local ice cream gem! The ice cream is always delicious…noting my go-to is usually a coffee or cold brew shake (so good!), but I love switching it up from time to time because every flavor is worth trying.
What really makes this place special is the people. The staff is always kind and welcoming and the owners, Marc and Megan, are absolute gems. Their warmth and care radiate through everything they do as well as outward to our community. It is also beautiful to see the love from tourists passing through, this spot brings so many smiles. A must-stop for locals and visitors alike.

Have to stop by here when in Gettysburg, Pa for 2 reasons. The ice cream is great AND there is a tree out by the street that watched Lincoln pass to deliver his Gettysburg address.

June 2025 this was my first time eating here. I knew it was good when I looked at the line of people waiting to order. The wait was only about 5 minutes. The staff was very fast and professional the prices were affordable and the icecream was fantastic. I absolutely recommend eating here.
