Motorheads is everything you hope for when you walk in the door and then some. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was packed with nostalgia, Route 66 charm, and thoughtful details that make the experience feel special rather than gimmicky. You can tell this place is built with intention and heart.
One of the highlights of our visit was having the honor to meet the men behind the scenes who keep Motorheads running so smoothly. Their focus on customer experience truly shows, and their passion for preserving nostalgia while creating a welcoming, family-friendly environment is felt throughout the entire space.
The food was outstanding. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. A must-order is the Piston Appetizer, absolutely delicious and perfect for sharing. The pizza, sandwiches, and appetizers all delivered, and everything came out hot and exactly as ordered.
Service was another standout. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. Whether you’re visiting for the food, the atmosphere, or the memories, the staff makes you feel right at home.
If you’re in Springfield or traveling Route 66, Motorheads is a must-stop. Amazing food, great service, and an experience that brings back the fun of classic Americana. Highly recommend.

We got to meet the owner who is really a cool guy along with the staff. I have to give a big shot out to Sara for making us feel welcomed and took very good care of us.. excellent customer service!!! 1st timer with friends from the area who had been here before. Food was fantastic with a very big menu. Server was great, checked on us a lot and kept our drinks refreshed. It’s also a museum with all the old cars and memorabilia and it also has a great gift shop with a variety of items from shirts to magnets. Right next to I-55, easy to see and find with pretty parking. Highly recommended!!

This is a great place to stop along the Mother Road. Especially if you’re interested in cars. The restaurant and bar have a vintage car theme. When we were there several folks were in the parking lot showing their cars. Go around back. There’s a lot of stuff piled back there that have been salvaged from old gas station. For the ladies there is a plant shop separate from the restaurant
