The food in itself is DELICIOUS! Cookout is mostly in the south to my knowledge. So I try to get it when I can❤️

The staff here however is hit or miss. Especially during the DAY. My very first time in the drive thru .. the lady handed me my order (just the box). No bag. No ketchup, or napkins. Just the box.

Next time my friend went for me. She went at night. Everything came out great. Everything was in the bag, and a bag was actually given this time.

I went back again (during the day- reference the pics). The person who took my order sounded very kind. But when I got to the window the girl had an unpleasant attitude. I asked her to make sure I had a bag, ketchup and napkins this time. She handed me the bag in a rude way and told me to “have a good day”.

Fast food was my first job so I expect at the bare minimum for a person to know how to be pleasant for a few minutes just to hand someone their food. It’s not hard to do. If this location put more decent people at the window I think my review would’ve been much different.

If u really just want some cookout though.. stop by. Just check the bag before leaving lol. Good luck !

Very pleasant staff, very well served, good ingredients. Clean eating area, lot of parking spaces. We will be back.

Once I went inside of the restaurant, all was good. I had waited at the drive-thru (as the second car) for approximately 5 minutes and no one appeared to take the order of the car in front of me.

Best Fast Food in my opinion! The quality is decent. The onions and tomato for example are edible and the meat doesn’t have a weird taste like some fast food. The jalapeños are actually super fresh and not overcooked.
The Walkin’ Tacos + jalapeños have always been my favorite menu item!! Blows taco bell out of the park. They used to put huge slices of jalapeño now they are diced.

Worst thing that happens is sometimes when they are busy you’ll get whatever…. or not the right toppings (for ex no tomato on my burger) but that doesn’t bother me for the price. $9 for Burger + 2 Walkin Tacos + Drink.
The lady at the window today 6/30/25 at 12:22pm was really nice! A+ customer service. ( My receipt says Vince but idk if that’s her name. )

Did the drive thru and I have never eaten here before, as I stand clapping for an outstanding experience from the sweet young lady at the drive thru who made awesome suggestions, everything was delicious! I got the cheddar burger with onions and man it was so good! Then the hush puppies were more than I expected and they were delicious as well. My only complaint was how skinny the chicken quesadilla was. But for 2:15 in the afternoon and no line, I was surprised how hot the food was. Will definitely return! Great job Cook out!! I had to come back and add this…as I lay my bag of hushpuppies down, I see this..God Bless the USA and underneath is psalm 19:14. Wow…freaking awesome!

First time cook out patron here. The value is unbeatable if you are looking for the most food for your money. The burger has quite a bit to be desired but the other “sides” seem to be better eventhough I didn’t really “take advantage” of the “side options”. If you’ve never been there they have 2 or 3 “meals”. You get an entre and 2 sides. But the sides can be something like a chicken quesadilla or corn dog. A lot of choices really. I would try it again sometime and try something other than the hamburger which is basically the size of a kid’s burger.

I have been meaning to write this for a couple of weeks, but life kept lifing. Anyways, here it goes:

We heard about Cookout through a Facebook group, I believe and had been wanting to try it out. We hadn’t been able to for a while because we live on the south side and just didn’t make it out that way often. Well, we decided to make a trip out there, specifically for Cookout, and I gotta say, it was absolutely worth it. The food was great. The prices were great and it was just such a chill little place, I was ready to come back by the time I left. Now, don’t go in there expecting a 2 pound burger for $5. That’s not what you’re getting. But if you are looking for a place with good, fresh cooked burgers at better prices than any fast food place, come here. You may not be getting anything bigger than a regular cheeseburger, but it’s a great cheeseburger. The milkshakes are great and there’s plenty of them to choose from. I’ll definitely be back, next time I get down that way or can make an excuse to come out there. Definitely a great value.

Great place. Food is always hot! Definitely better then the big chain fast food. The area is a little sketchy due to the large amount of homeless people in the area. That’s why I gave 3 stars for atmosphere. Everything else A1

Stopped by to try this place I noticed was in the old A&W/Long John Silvers building. I was pleasantly surprised by the offerings the had. I opted for the double burger with a side of hush puppies. The hush puppies weren’t traditional style, they were more like corn dog batter without the dog. Not bad at all. And for $1 you get a good amount of them. The burger taste just like someone pulled it off the grill at home. Great taste, though a bit small so you might need two if you’re hungry. Over all seems like a good place and will revisit again.
