Busy, brick-lined locale featuring down-home Southern plates & a full bar with local beer.

Just tried Lickety Split in Hapeville and overall it was a really good experience.
We started with the chicken wings as an appetizer — they were okay, nothing spectacular, but a solid start. For the main course, my girlfriend had the turkey wing with rice, and she really enjoyed it. She said the seasoning was on point and full of flavor.
I ordered the fried shrimp with collard greens and candied yams. The candied yams were definitely a highlight — sweet, flavorful, and cooked just right. The collard greens, though, didn’t taste as fresh as I would’ve liked — almost like they may have been canned. The iced tea was really good, and my friend enjoyed her glass of wine.
One thing to note: everything is served in styrofoam containers with plastic flatware instead of traditional plates and silverware. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. There’s also plenty of parking, which is always a plus.
They do offer a military discount, but it only applies to the individual with the military ID — not the entire table if you’re dining with family or on a date. I appreciate that they acknowledge service members, but it would be nice if the discount extended to the whole party.
Overall, it was a great experience with very good service, and I’d probably go back again. If you’re in the Hapeville area and craving some soul food, it’s worth checking out.

Stopped here to eat while at a conference near the airport. Hands down the best chicken wings I have ever eaten. The hot honey lemon pepper was absolutely amazing. All of the food was delicious, but the chicken wings were the shining star of our meal.

Everything was good. Only reason I didn’t give 5 is because ion think its great value. But that’s ok. We had ribs, mac, yams. And fried catfish, greens, and cabbage. Again ALL the food was good. With delicious red velvet and an okay (not great) sweet potatoe pie the total was $67 bucks. Also they charge 10% on carry out. I don’t like it, but I understand.

I went there tonight, random Thursday. When i arrived it was very empty. I ordered the turkey wings which comes with the choice of yellow rice or dressing. I opted for dressing with a side of yams. I also ordered a margarita.
Pros: margarita was nice! No complaints. Turkey was good and well seasoned.
Cons: after waiting 41 min for food, I inquired how much longer as I needed to catch a flight. I was then told that they were putting the dressing in the oven. Waitress was unsure how long it would take and asked if I wanted yellow rice. I told her I’d be willing to wait 5-10 more minutes. She came back around 10 minutes later to tell me it was not going to be ready. So I opted for greens. I got my food, and was not pleased with the greens. There was never an apology for even waiting close to an hour. Never asked how did I like the options. When I cashed out, there was a packaging fee. Not sure why because I dined in. On top of that that, a person was eating dressing when I was leaving. Waitress didn’t bother to even offer to make it To right.

This is, without a doubt, the easiest 5 star review I’ve ever left. We are visiting from Michigan for the weekend and decided to try Lickety Split on a whim. Have you ever walked into a restaurant and knew the second you walked in that you were about to have the best meal of your life? Well, that was me walking into Lickety Split. From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. The menu was a bit intimidating, but we ended up ordering a little bit of everything, and I’m glad we did. I’m not exaggerating when i say nothing on our order was anything less than top notch. It was a meal I’m probably going to think about for a long time, and honestly is making me kind of think about moving to Atlanta. Maybe I’ve had better meals before, but as i type, I’m having a hard time thinking of when. I also want to shout out our server, Yolanda (Yolanda, I’m so sorry if I’m misspelling your name, but I think i tossed my receipt by accident before i could write my review), was patient with us while we looked over the menu and made sure all of our questions were answered. This is without a doubt my new favorite restaurant, and I’m going to have to start looking for excuses to head down to Atlanta to visit. Thanks for a wonderful experience – hoping we can make it back before we head home to try the dessert menu!

This place is the BOMB. Soul food & BAR in one place!! Our Waiter Aaron gave such great recommendations and everything suggested was so good. Ribs, Brisket Sliders, Smothered pork chop were so GOOD ! Everyone in the restaurant was checking out what the other tables ordered and everything was great. They also have a patio that welcomes dogs. All they are missing is a happy hour and they would see me every week.
The food was so authentic we wanted to kiss the chef!!

We were only in town for 4 days/3 nights and managed to eat here every night. The food was phenomenal. The service too, even with the line out of the door. We tried the fried chicken, catfish and Cajun grilled shrimp first. Came back for the smother pork chops and turkey wing. And today had to hit the brisket before our flight tomorrow. So so good. The hoe cakes were probably my fav but the cabbage and mac definitely get an honorable mention. And can’t forget the strawberry banana pudding! Highly recommend!

We drove about 45 minutes to try Lickety Split after seeing it on Instagram. We ordered the grilled shrimp, fried pork chop, and fries. The food was good overall, but it was disappointing that the entrées didn’t come with any sides, so we had to purchase sides separately.Manager was very helpful and nice.

Hello! I order from here so much I figure I might as well do a review. So my absolute favorite food here is the grilled chicken it’s seasoned sooooo good and reminds me of cookouts at my grandmothers house. They also have amazing turkey legs, the ribs are bomb and I’ve also had the brisket sliders 10/10. The vibes are great when you go inside everyone is friendly and speaks. I order from here at least twice a week whether it’s DoorDash or in person lol. Thank you guys for being so awesome 🙂
