Yacht Club’s Ale & Compass

Make a reservation. At the Disney resorts you never know when they’ll be extremely busy, and they also want to be sure guests aren’t just trying to get free theme park parking—so it makes sense. Some of the security guards can be a bit brusque, while others are incredibly sweet. We’ve eaten here three times now.

For breakfast, we like ordering with or without the Continental Enhancement, which includes:
• Fresh fruit (pineapple, strawberries, and watermelon)
• Assorted yogurt parfaits (strawberry or plain) with blueberries, house-made granola, and honey
• Assorted breakfast pastries (plain croissants, biscuits with sausage gravy, citrus loaf, and warm cinnamon rolls)
• Deviled eggs
• Overnight oats served with honey

It’s $28 and makes the most sense if you’re already getting a main dish with meat and a drink—the difference in price is only a few dollars.

The main dishes range from $16–$23. Coffee is $4.50 and they’ll keep refilling it. Lattes cost a bit more. We both just had regular coffee, and I added a side of milk and honey.

I ordered the protein bowl, and by the time I sampled a little of each of the vegetarian items from the Continental Enhancement, I had to take a good portion of my entrée home. It reheated beautifully for dinner that night.

My husband had the chocolate-cherry waffles. They’re crispy and stay that way. The cherries are dried—just slightly chewy and really flavorful—and the whipped cream is light and fluffy, not wet, so the waffles don’t get soggy. We even took one of the waffles home, and it was still very chocolatey and delicious later.

Had dinner here twice. The NY strip steak was great both times as was the wedge salad. I’d recommend the old fashioned without orange juice. You can get the special disney knob creek which is 120 proof and quite smooth. It does cost 25$ but for a special drink it’s worth it

Ale & Compass, one of the table service restaurants at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, has been the starting point for our social club’s Disney Christmas Tree Tour for four years straight. We make reservations 60 days in advance on the Disney app. Our brunch has always been delightful. Ken took us to our table and is a real ray of sunshine to start the morning. The wait staff is top notch- Alba took care of us in grand style this year. The food is always great. The decor is coastal-inspired, with colors and glass that reminds you of a cozy lighthouse. The Continental Enhancement, an add on that is a self-service buffet with fruit, yogurt parfaits, house made granola, and breakfast pastries like citrus loaf and cinnamon rolls- is the best deal, because your drink and entree come with this all for $28. The prices are typical Disney vacation level, but you get a great meal in a beautiful restaurant.

Went here for a birthday and wanted to try something new. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t really stand out either. Maybe we’ve just been spoiled by so many great Disney restaurants.

Prices were reasonable.
We did enjoy the truffle fries.

The highlight was definitely the staff friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Great service all around.

The entrees were incredible and the desserts were even better! We had a big group so we got all of the desserts but the two stand outs were the butter cake and seasonal cobbler. As a group, we loved the flat iron and lemon herb chicken (chicken had a lot of bones so had to work to get it). Port wine was fun to have with dessert too! We were able to use our meal plan here.

We decided to have lunch at this place and it was to expectations for a Disney restaurant. Not many options of food choices on the menu but plenty of options of alcoholic beverages. The service was good but the food took longer than expected. Descent place to eat.

Excellent food and even better service from Robert. He was so attentive and even brought my girls a cool color changing ice cube in their drinks. They loved them! I feel like this place is a hidden gem. We will be back on our next trip to Disney.
