Although we serve fine food in a nice atmosphere, please dress casual should you choose us for lunch or dinner. Our concept is largely based on dumping a bucket of various shellfish on your table with a mallet, crab crackers, and other tools to get the job done. It can get messy, but hey, we clean it up! We feature in season product, printing our menu daily. We serve fresh fish daily, and use local farmers for fresh in season produce all year round. We use a local butcher and baker. We always have a steak for those of you who don’t eat fish, a chicken dinner for those of you who don’t eat fish or meat, and we can sauté a veggie dish for those of you who don’t eat fish, meat, or chicken.

This place is unique! I love sea food so my husband found this restaurant on google. We went for lunch. The host was very friendly. The service was excellent. I ordered mussels. The best I ever had. Very good selection of wine. The experience was amazing. Pismo Beach we will see you next time!

This place was fantastic! Great service, very clean, and top notch food. We visit pismo often but have never tried the Cracked Crab. Safe to say we will be back every time we visit! Brandy was our server, she was very gracious and polite. She made our experience very comfortable, especially with a us having a young child, it can be rare to feel welcomed.
I got the King crab dinner, 10/10, crab was cooked perfectly and it was the perfect serving for the price. My husband got the shrimp pasta and he said it was also a great choice.

Great seafood at a reasonable price! We try to stop in whenever we are driving the coast here. Had the Cioppino this time and it was amazing. The seafood was plentiful and cooked excellent. Nothing over cooked. Broth was a bit spicy but not too much to overwhelm the flavors. Try it if you have the time. Takes a while to eat it all!
My wife ordered the key lime pie for dessert and it was creamy and a good refresher for after dinner.

First time visiting and the food was amazing!! So many choices but with my server, Tabitha’s help, I ordered the clam chowder, steamed clams and Alaskan Bairdi Crab dinner. The food was excellent, but the clams were to die for!! Served in a white wine cream sauce with a perfect kick of cracked pepper! So perfect to dip the delicious sourdough rolls and even enhanced the crab meat which was delicious in its own right. Couldn’t get enough of it! Generous servings too! Can’t wait to come back and try some of the other offerings. Highly recommend, but be aware, the place is small so they don’t accept reservations and there is always a line. Fortunately for me, the line on a Tuesday evening (around 5 pm) was not long. Thank you Tabitha and everyone at the Cracked Crab!!

We celebrated a birthday here. The food was fresh and absolutley cooked to perfection. Our server was adorable, very out going and professional. She let us know the popular menu items. We got the bucket for two with the prawns, dungeness crab, and cajun sausage. It was enough to feed three… in fact we could not finish all of it. The sour dough rolls were also delicious.

Everything about this place is amazing. Our waitress was phenomenal, the food was heaven. We loved that the owner even came by to check on Everything. I highly suggest that you don’t miss out on this memorable spot when in Pismo.

We have gone to this restaurant several times and we love it! The food is always excellent and the staff are informative and helpful. The Chef always comes in to greet his guests and is very friendly. The only real negative (a small one) is that one server insists on putting the bibs on the customers but there are those of us who prefer to make our own decision on the bib.

So good that we had dinner here two nights in a row! First night’s dinner was the crab boil. Just enough Old Bay seasoning and not salty. We ordered the one person portion plus the steamed clams. The sauce that came with the clams should be sold separately… It was that good. Second night was their Ciopinno plus more steamed clams the staff helping us both nights were awesome and attentive. Great dining experience!

Holy cow! I mean Cracked Crab! WOW! It’s our 3rd time here! Great food! Try all the crab & other goodies! Trust me it’s all great! The chef is awesome he knows his fish! If that’s not your delight, they also have beef. They have steaks and hamburgers and give it to you. The waite staff is awesome as well. Good ask for more.
