Had a great afternoon in Chimney Rock at RiverWatch. While the back, river scenery looks different now, the food and hospitality is the same.
We were told that there was a new bartender when the waitress came by with a drink update – not that we were complaining or it had been awhile – she was just sweet and keeping us informed. I had ordered a spicy margarita so I was a bit worried…
It was the BEST spicy margarita I’ve ever had. Hubby got a rum/pineapple/coconut drink special and the blue cheese burger. I got the Gouda burger.
Both of ours were cooked as requested and super flavorful. The bacon jam was Smokey and sweet. The fries were crisp and starchy -yum!!!
Our server was phenomenal. Please give this restaurant your business. You won’t be disappointed.

Bacon cheese fries were exceptional. Fried pickles were just so-so, heavy on the batter, and appeared to be cooked in older grease. This was one of the items we were most looking forward to based on the reviews. Just a personal preference I guess. The three different burgers we got were all great. Same for the two different chicken subs we got. The sauce for the sweet potato fries was superb. The water was horrible. Worst I’ve had anywhere. The waitress (Sophie, and who was excellent) said she’s been telling them for a while how bad it was. So, we ordered soft drinks and apple juice, to the tune of $17.50 that we would not have had to pay otherwise. This is my only reason for the 4-stars instead of 5. We ate at the Chimney Rock Smokehouse two days earlier and everyone got water there (which is what we always order anywhere) and it was fine there. So, something is up with the water at Riverwatch. Hopefully they’ll address it since it’s a known problem. Overall, highly recommend this place and will return again.

Such a lovely place amidst the tragedy of Helene. The service we received by Megan was top-tier, and she was very attentive.
We started with the fried pickles, and I was absolutely blown away by the batter they used. Then they went and topped it with the Cheesburger Melt. The cocktails were amazing and just overall a wonderful experience.
Come out and support this local restaurant, and the entire Chimney Rock area.

So good! 3 of us had burgers, all different, all amazing (highly recommend the goat cheese burger w/sun-dried tomatoes and bacon jam), onion rings were also one had a foot long, holy moly it was huge! Great service, friendly, fun, amazing food and the view outside was so cozy and cute. Looking forward to going back!

So happy they are back open!! So so many burger options! Their burger master cooks every single burger perfectly. The buns are fresh and compress nicely. Crispy lettuce, fresh sliced tomatoes and onions. The fries are lightly battered and perfect. Love the homemade ranch on literally anything! The appetizer fresh fried mushrooms are a MUST. Help bring the businesses back and help the town. Many businesses opening daily. Nice quaint town you can walk down the street. Indoor, outdoor and upper covered patio so plenty of seating. Beautiful and clean place with a sanitation score of 100!!!! Friendly staff and amazing service. Definitely where I want to spend my money-

Best burger in NC. Riverwatch Grill has made a grand reappearance after the destruction from Hurricane Helene last year and their resilience in sharing their comeback on their website clearly shows strength and fortitude. The deck is stunning, new furniture sturdy and comfortable, the burger and onion rings are superb and the servers are so positive and enthusiastic. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and upbeat servers make this restaurant truly outstanding. Eating riverside just makes everything even better. Thank you for a truly great dining experience!

What an evening and dinner to remember! Everything my husband and I ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious! We tried their fried pickles, their Spicy Buffalo Salad, the Po’ Boy Shrimp Sandwich, and their sweet potato fries – all of which we would highly recommend. They also know how to make GOOD sweet tea!
Our waiter, Patrick, was incredibly kind and truly made our experience wonderful. He whipped up a virgin Mint Mojito for me to try, and it was AMAZING!
If my husband and I lived locally, we would very quickly become regulars here. We will most definitely be making this an annual summer trip must-visit!

What a great place. I was in burger heaven. So many options. I went with the smokehouse burger and it was fantastic. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was so attentive and kind. Would recommend, will be back to work my way through the burgers. Also, try the fried mozzarella, that and the marinara were phenomenal!!

So happy that this restaurant has come back strong from Hurricane Helene. Extensive burger menu and several other handheld options. Great bar options & Coke products. Live music on the deck overlooking the Rocky Broad River & Chimney Rock. There is also indoor seating. Staff are exceptionally friendly & attentive. Come on down to Chimney Rock Village & support the businesses that are digging out from under Helene’s destruction!

We were so happy to be back in Chimney Rock today for a very delicious lunch and drinks. Beautiful day. Had the sweet chili with the chicken breast and my husband had the hottie burger. Both very yummy. Worked up an appetite on a hike and walking around to some of the stores. This place is hopping. Come on out and check out this great location and food.
