The real issue came from the friend who accompanied me. He had lost his keys in the CFA the prior day. That night, he returned after his shift, and the female worker at the front refused to even check the lost and found, simply stating, “We don’t have it.” This caused a lot of stress for him, as he needed his car for work, and he spent the early part of the next day searching frantically. He eventually called a locksmith who was about to charge him over $300 for the task due to driving from over an hour away.
That’s where I stepped in and encouraged him to come with me to the CFA to ask again. This time, a woman who looked like a manager or team lead went to the back to “check” and said the keys weren’t there, insisting that “if we did have the keys, they would be here.” Knowing the layout of the store, I also know she wasn’t gone nearly long enough to have actually checked.
Thankfully, a young Chick-fil-A employee who gave us our food must have overheard or had been present when the keys were previously mentioned, because he stopped us in the parking lot and said, “We found them.” He and my friend went back inside, and they returned with the keys.
The reason I’m writing this review is that as a former employee and a fan of CFA, I understand the company’s unique values and its emphasis on integrity and serving the customer. Due to the actions of the female employee at 20:22 the night prior and the actions of the leader at 14:02 today, my friend experienced massive stress and almost had to pay $300—all because a simple, good-willed attempt to help was refused. The fact that this happened again while I was present to witness only reinforces the issue. It’s clear the store would rather avoid an inconvenience to their workflow than take a moment to genuinely help someone.
My friend and I thank God for that last employee who took the time to follow us to my car and make sure the keys were returned. I hope to find his name and thank him personally, but all other members involved should be aware of the emotional strife their negligence caused.
Update: added another photo from a recent visit. Still the same issue. Worse this time.
3rd Update: added another photo. They spent all that money to re-do the drive thru, gotta make it up by skimping people on fries. Sad.
4th Update: added 2 photos. Getting comical at this point. Can’t wait for the new Chickfila to open near Main St (Kroger). I’ll never visit this Chickfila again.
After every one of these instances, I call their number and they never pick up the phone.
Just go to the Gallatin location.
