Reviews
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and even the servers wear adorable hunter-style hats, which adds a lot of charm. The atmosphere was cozy and lively, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a very satisfying dinner and a great surprise along the way. Highly recommend!
They also have a 7-day marinated beef shoulder that was very tender and the sweet and sour “gravy” they put on it, gave it such a satisfying flavor profile.
Don’t forget to get the giant pretzel to share as well.
We ordered:
1 x Brussel Sprouts
1 x Apfelschorle
1 x Pork Schnitzel
1 x Pork Roast
1 x Strudel
– Add Ice Cream
Total: $105.49 + Tips
The service per dish was very decent, very efficient except for the dessert, apparently.
We did enjoy every dish we ordered, except the Apfelschorle, which we thought they served too much ice which diluted the taste of the apple flavour. And the other one was the Pork Roast, we’re very surprised how small a portion the meat was compared to the side given with the price of it. Taste-wise, a good dish but there’s no wow factor to it.
I did really enjoy their dessert, the crispness and lightness of the fillo sheets and just nice sweetness and sourness of the slices of apples combined so perfectly with the Vanilla ice cream.
We enjoyed very much the Brussels Sprouts and the Pork Schnitzel, too.
We ordered the kase spatzle with bacon, pork shoulder with mashed potatoes and rotkohl, and pork schnitzel smothered in jager sauce also with mashed potatoes and rotkohl. So we were pleased they had all our favorites and the dishes did not disappoint!
Everything was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Serving sizes were enormous and it ended up being more like two meals worth of food. We were eying their seasonal strudel (which was pumpkin) but we were so full from dinner – next time we’re in town! Special mention to the grapefruit radler – very refreshing, would order again.
No notes, definitely worth your visit and highly recommended as someone who knows German food 😉
